Personally I find this change would solve
- MP abuse to purchase cazar and eddga equipment
- Long term activeness - players tend to go AFK once reached end game level, get their gears etc
- Mass number of players leveling to end game level during dapara week through JDQ
The aim is trying to make grind and quests as enjoyable for players. Right now, players tend to wait until weekend to grind and boost their character to the max on dapara weekend. Some people can't grind on weekend due to work or limited grinding spot. Instead of getting all sad, I rather see this as an opportunity to suggest more feature to be added to the game itself. Thinking outside of the box. For instance, place Monster Buster NPC in DW and upwards, increase MP gain on all ML quests, put element system on monsters past Osiris and make exp bonus rate equal on dapara week.
1. Imho, selling Cazar and Eddga for MP was a fair way to make it available to players who didn't have peers to farm them with. Population (and maybe channel numbers) was/is just too low.
2. I go afk because the RNG and WL availibility is just too depressing for me to continue gearing my main, and PvE Jawaii is too deadly. I have regularly been max level and not afk in the past.
3. This is not a bad thing. It leaves time to enjoy events and other interactions that result in lasting bonds for the rest of the month. There is always something to do that breaks the monotony...
My initial reaction was:
Edit: I thought Jawaii daily quests were a nice change after the Forever Grind from ML1-35. And everyone didn't have a problem with it anyway :/
Why fix it when its not even broken
As far as ML is concerned, I agree, this was not broken. It would be fine if the quest bonus was disabled for preML OR if the MP requirements postML were reduced, and reduced thrice for postML35.
WP is not at fault because Gravity is the developer and the one who executed this. Having said that, you still get about 37,125 MP each day from JDQ without exp modifier (VIP, ABMO, MBMO 30 mins and 1 day, EXP Buff Pet). IMO, devs want players to do this more often to farm MP and opening Jawaii Wonderland
I'd agree with the sentiment, however, I feel in practice they miscalculated. I feel that the majority of participants in JDQ were alts, that now are less motivating to level up.
I feel that this will result in less players doing JDQ & opening WL, not more. People who can't play often/regularly will not play more because of this, but less, or not at all.
People who can play often will find other ways to spend their time that will give a greater sense of reward. Also, 9 (or 10) channels is not enough for grind parties as it is...
