Grinding isn't necessarily a bad thing and can be enjoyable so long as there are other alternatives. Games like maplestory is also a grind fest and can keep going for ages. The biggest issue here is boredom from doing the same thing over and over again if you ask me. For instance, if we had the option to hunt in multiple dungeons like wolf cave or some other besides osiris and each have their own rewards to make them worth the effort, then players wouldn't get bored running the same map/dungeon with the same mobs and to get the same items hundreds of times. Say if forgotten payon drops a certain kind of equip, then make it such that the alternative grind spots drop a different kind of equip(sprites) with similar stats. Similarly, the boss mobs take a significant amount of time and effort to kill and mostly it is far from rewarding. I'd suggest giving it an experience incentive at the very least so that players wouldn't mind killing a boss every now and then.

TL DR: All I'm saying is that the grind may not be so bad if the content wasn't overly repetitive and had other alternatives to explore.

Not to be forgotten.  :pif:

[Suggestion] Introduce Monster Buster Quest in Master Level.

* Especially focus on ML21-35.

* Reduce repetitive nutritionless grind content, alternative way is important.

* This will introduce some zeny sink as well.

Personally I find this change would solve

  1. MP abuse to purchase cazar and eddga equipment
  2. Long term activeness - players tend to go AFK once reached end game level, get their gears etc
  3. Mass number of players leveling to end game level during dapara week through JDQ

The aim is trying to make grind and quests as enjoyable for players. Right now, players tend to wait until weekend to grind and boost their character to the max on dapara weekend. Some people can't grind on weekend due to work or limited grinding spot. Instead of getting all sad, I rather see this as an opportunity to suggest more feature to be added to the game itself. Thinking outside of the box. For instance, place Monster Buster NPC in DW and upwards, increase MP gain on all ML quests, put element system on monsters past Osiris and make exp bonus rate equal on dapara week.

1.  Imho, selling Cazar and Eddga for MP was a fair way to make it available to players who didn't have peers to farm them with. Population (and maybe channel numbers) was/is just too low.

2.  I go afk because the RNG and WL availibility is just too depressing for me to continue gearing my main, and PvE Jawaii is too deadly. I have regularly been max level and not afk in the past.

3.  This is not a bad thing. It leaves time to enjoy events and other interactions that result in lasting bonds for the rest of the month. There is always something to do that breaks the monotony...

My initial reaction was:

Spoiler

Edit: I thought Jawaii daily quests were a nice change after the Forever Grind from ML1-35. And everyone didn't have a problem with it anyway :/

Why fix it when its not even broken -_-

As far as ML is concerned, I agree, this was not broken. It would be fine if the quest bonus was disabled for preML OR if the MP requirements postML were reduced, and reduced thrice for postML35.

WP is not at fault because Gravity is the developer and the one who executed this. Having said that, you still get about 37,125 MP each day from JDQ without exp modifier (VIP, ABMO, MBMO 30 mins and 1 day, EXP Buff Pet). IMO, devs want players to do this more often to farm MP and opening Jawaii Wonderland

I'd agree with the sentiment, however, I feel in practice they miscalculated. I feel that the majority of participants in JDQ were alts, that now are less motivating to level up.

I feel that this will result in less players doing JDQ & opening WL, not more. People who can't play often/regularly will not play more because of this, but less, or not at all.

People who can play often will find other ways to spend their time that will give a greater sense of reward. Also, 9 (or 10) channels is not enough for grind parties as it is...

The result of this change might be seen in a conversation witnessed in Pub Today.

I remember having this argument with a certain VCR who insisted that this would make more people play.  Wonderland hasn't been opened since last Monday before maintenance.  I donated 30 stacks of Red Jewels and it still wasn't enough to open it, meaning during the entire week not even half the amount required to be donated was reached.  I mentioned this to Njoror last week also, he seemed to agree that the requirements to open it are too high.  The incentives, or rewards have you, for doing the Jawaii Daily Quests are not high enough by any means for anyone to keep doing them repeatedly.  Add in the fact that the card drop rate is abysmal as also reported, ironically I argued with this same person about the drop rate, there is really no incentive at all to do these quests.

Give the bonus exp back to the daily quests, cut the requirements to open Wonderland to a 1/4 of what they are now and increase the drop rates of items in game so they are at least obtainable.

You might as well open wonderland 24/7 at this point, queen's aura price will take a nose dive but it's not a big deal (like how the price of determination of pharoah went down). I really don't understand what the heck is taking so long in increasing the card drop rates. Like we've been complaining about it for months and nothing has been done, why? Keep the boss cards super rare but let us actually have a chance at getting the blue cards.
