Boss% and atk% are the same thing.

And on this other one, you forgot weapon variation.

Plus, your damage comes from total attack, wich is (status attack + weapon attack + equip attack) + mastery attack(in katar case)

 

Eh, i was just talking about Final weapon attack. And Boss% and Atk% applies differently. Its ((STR+(DEX/5)+(LUK/3)+(BaseLV/4))x2) + ((Base Weapon Attack ± Variance Attack + Overrefine Attack) x Weapon Size Mod+ Equipment Attack) x Elemental Modifier x Racial Modifier x Size Modifier x Boss Modifier x atk% Modifier) + Mastery Attack = Final Attack.

 

I don't think variance attack mattered too much because for crit, it becomes 0.05 x Weapon Level x Weapon Attack, which is max damage possible. 

 

I guess I did made an mistake on saying Final Weapon Attack for the 2nd formula now that I'm looking at. I should've said Final Attack instead of Final Weapon Attack.

 

I did exclude all that just for the shake of explaining how DD has upper hand over Katar.

I think vs boss is additive with +% atk, like "+25% vs. Boss" == "if enemy is a boss, atk+25%"

Same with orc lady card etc

If anything, I thought it was Class Bonus Damage. I could be wrong tho, I'd like to see better source tho.

If you have 30% atk and 30% boss, or 60% boss, or 60% atk, all these setups will have the exact same result. Reason is that boss% is just displayed in description as that but is just another ATK% that applies only to boss flaged monsters

Like i said, I think it didn't matter too much because Variance will always be max damage formula, which is always in greater value than actual variance damage. So no point pointing it out as something that's in advantage than Katar, for example.

If you have Bapho card with DD, it might work for AoE PVE. Otherwise, DD is pretty much MVP exclusive. RC isn't bad option either for MVPing for some cases, Nidhogg and OGH was fine for me with RC.

Isnt transform to faceworm form already give aoe attack?

Its still very much proc, and Refinement level only increases skill level of Earthquake. I think it was around 1~2% proc for trnasformation when I used in kRO. Not sure if its same for iRO but when its proc, damage is amazing since its affected by all the modifier even edp.

the damage of EQ is calculated vs yourself, not the target.

Then I think my 90 DEX is too high for critical purpose.

 

Gonna reset that or remain since sometime I may need it, like CI or RC then CRS?

around 60-80ish. I remember my 70 dex still miss on Little Fatum and the spider thingy last last Mid TI.

It depends on your gear set up. my dex was 70 because when I was leveling my GX, I had FS 6/7 Krishuna with Assassin's Handcuff. Along with FS 7 Str Boots. If you don't have a lot of hit from gear, i'd say 90 to be safe.

90 is a good amount. If there's something you still dont hit well you can use Hit gears to complete it. Every 3 Luk gives 1 Hit rate keep that in mind
