Some Initial Thoughts in regards to medals.

 

Thoughts are 10,000-100,000 zeny worth of items per badge

Medals Account Bound

Armor Account Bound (Different version with same effects as the armors that drop); Making it account bound is so that each account needs to earn an armor set on there own. This would prolong the economic activity, making it so that more zeny, supplies, and spice move around. As we all know the spice must flow.

 

These would not be the traditional prize medals but a new one. So that the old prize medals can still be used normally. I don't know call them "WoE Supply Contribution Medals".

 

It would be both a zeny sink and allow players to earn some much needed basic WoE Gears, as well as helping with the WoE supply flow.

My question:

 

I can get these supplies for free and faster using GSB, why would I expend my zeny into this system instead?

Account bound armor, new armor, account bound, this is fine. Would you make them enchantable?

Would making the non bound armors/medals available through TI be viable to promote veterans mixing with new players so new players have partymates?

Would weapons still be available through this? Most of them were made obsolete with Bio3/MVP drops, but it'd be nice to get Excalibur this way. Even account bound.

If I may suggest a few things...
1 - Woe supply -  would you be able to make it lighter? like slim pots
2 - Bonus on exchanging medals... in case you exchange 1k medals you got an extra 1hundred... this would make ppl rushing there... 

3 - We could get other items from medals like gsb or just other WOE supplies like speed potion, authorative badge... more usable items would help newcomers(of course account bound... dont wanna have bg full of bots)

i like the basis for the idea, but there are some problems.

 

1) this not rlly gonna help new guilds farm supply at the rate ppl can with gsbs.

 

2) account bound versions of the ele armors(that do NOT drop in the game)actually solves nothing. i want my real slotted trade-able water and earth armors.

 

3)what happened to hugle prize medals from daily quests? not that 1 medal a day was going to cut it either when it takes 1000 to get one armor.

 

4)new guilds need a FAIR chance at gsbs. gsb was not ment to be a reward only for the always wining guilds. it was supposed to make it equally easier for everyone to get supply. and if i am wrong and you did add it as a way to reward the wining guilds.... then that was just wrong and who let you do this?

 

 

with all this said..... farming for ti's IS a good idea. we need more ti type stuff. i just think your trying to fix too many things at once with this and i dont belive it will balance out to solved in both the case of the gsb for noob prob and the alternate way for ele armor problem. not to discourage you from throwing around ideas.

it'd be good to be able to choose specific supplies(supplies and materials not on GSBs) or a few GSBs per badge.

ok thinking it over for a while i actually think some clarification may help me out.......do you hunt the woe type supply and then trade them in to an npc for contribution medals? the supply can then be bought by players similar to the bottle npc in pront? or do you meen that you quest for contribution medals, and then can trade the medals in to an npc for supplys?

 

what i think would work great if your running with the current idea.:

    either random hunt gather quests or a list to chose from. keeping in mind the drop rate / difficulty differences. (example, one kavo is a lot harder to get than one cobweb, ect)

    i still disagree with the account bound ele armors for pvm reasons. for example lets say it was a goal of mine to have a +3str fire armor with a ktulinux card in it. (i know i know i dream) why would i want an account bound armor to rock an mvp card in? (i know fire armor is get-able just a quick example.) but for reals how would i get a +3vit armor of ocean in the current game? and why would i go thru the trouble of earning that many and rolling them just to have it stuck on one account? and everyone who played at the time could just raffle for these things?

 

things that i think you may have a misconception about....

 

    *ele armors, well being useful to a degree in woe are probably used in pvm much more.

    *the existing "woe supply flow" trumps this and therefore the two systems would compete for use rather than meld , so to speak. and if it is "turn in x amount of supply for x medals... whats going to stop the gsb hunting castle holders from farming gsbs for supply to trade in for medals to get there armors much quicker than any players who need the new supply source ect. in which case instead of helping the newer guys your just rewarding the successful guilds all over again. the ppl who can already efficiently get supply.

    *making account bound would prolong econ activity ect. so you want the price of the real ele armors to skyrocket as more time goes by and there are even less on the server? driving home the fact that players did at one time have a reasonable way to obtain them?

 

either way i did go into this with the mindset to be helpful. i think it just came off as negative. i would like any more detailed thoughts on the implementation so i can give better educated responses and perhaps even offer some lighter and more helpful ideas/opinions.
