I have no idea about coding and stuff si I wouldn't know, but would it really take kRO a lot of resources to implement this? Also, if that's the case, how do private servers manage to implement this [auto vending]?

simply stop checking if the vending player is still connected

so basically, instead of 1000 people logged in at thor, the prompt at login will now only have 100 to display? it ain't gonna happen, very bad for business.

The autovending that I had in mind is where players enter an @command then they are logged out of the client, but somehow their characters are still in the server. I don't know how private servers do this, but the number of logged in people stays the same with this method.

Or they implant like a working action house instead of having to have 10 merchants to clear out your storage. Where you can just put your items on for a month without having to worry about anything.

Because 90% of pservers are emulators, not the real deal.

It would have to be a separate thin client, it would best be served in a web app environment.  But I doubt seriously that kRO has the resources or the knownledge tbh to allow access to their datatables via web service calls.

You give them too much credit they don't deserve to be honest.

I can do that honestly, I am not expert web dev but doing REST calls to databases isn't that big a deal, hell I would volunteer to help make it, if it wasn't busy with work most of time/ also Gravity "can't accept my help".

yes webservices would be needed for this and using REST would be the easiest, could just use Laravel which uses the MVC architecture

I find using things like Docker on your own server instead of things like AWS to be more efficiency.

Yes its more manually handled than AWS and doesn't have many luxurious features, but guess what its a hell lot cheaper(Docker is free so only server rent cost) and is just as good. Also, its 2016, can we not let PHP die....

I dont think its very doable right now. There is this whole item dupping thing going on, and if something like that was added I bet it would open more problems.
