It has been a while since the Metal Assault was last available to gamers of the Americas so I understand that the game has probably gone through a bunch of changes.

However, since I have returned I have noticed that sniper weapons seem much more overbearing than they used to be, and they were strong back when I originally played. Getting hit by a sniper weapon instantly opens you up to getting gunned down by a pistol in 2-3 shots(body shots from the pistol) which was not the case from when I used to play.

The change in power from when I was playing has to do with how healing works now. Originally back then using the healing skill brought you health back in a big chunk as soon as you used it which let you be able to recover from getting body shot by a sniper weapon. With the healing now being over time you cannot mitigate the sniper body-shots anymore to survive getting gunned down by their pistol.

But the problem is not with the healing being changed to heal over time. Aside from not allowing recovery from sniper shots I actually that the current version of healing is better than the old version.

So my proposal is: instead of returning healing back to healing instantly I would like to request that sniper weapons keep the same head-shot damage but do less body shot damage.

Thanks. :)

And i want Carl to have just 1 leg, so he cannot rush into me in less than 0.5 seconds and unload a rifle spamm on my face. No nerf for snipers, take cover.

Sniper rifles are OP because of the limited gear

Thanks for the feedback, we'll have to review balancing issues after we're more clear of the current issue affecting a wide spread of players trying to connect. But I get what you're saying and it's not a bad suggestion. Please keep feeding us more feedback as you continue to play!

well I wouldnt say nerf sniper but if they fix the heal I think that would let players be able to survive longer vs snipers

see it like this dont nerf the FOTM but buff everything else to be on par then trim down the numbers on everything till it looks stable again this why devs can gauge what needs to be rebalanced

TLDR; give everything else a buff then nerf everything into fair numbers

Meh Snipers seem to be about the same the only difference is people have taken to carrying them in lieu of a rifle since they are missing 3 buttons now.

I have had almost no problem dispatching snipers ingame.

Protip: they have a long reload after every shot

I'm pretty sure that's the sniper meta.
Try and kill someone with a head shot if that fails pullout your pistol and finish them of before you get hit.

Snipers are exactly the same as they were back in Aeria.

Snipers are fine where they are now.
A Carl can Jump away from pistol range very easily.
An Ai can back dash or whatever.
A Marie can Double roll away.
And a Burton can stun

Another thing you gotta remember is that we dont have the same gear as Aeria so our defense is low AF.
