I didn't bring up to topic of PoS.  You did.  Reread the thread.

That's what I addressed with that thing you quoted o.o. Did you even read it? I just assumed you tried to say something that made even the slightest bit of sense at first... As I said building +20ies on lvl 40 chars is not a reasonable thing to ask. That's what this whole thing was about.

Other then that ye, we need p2w mechanics but the game doesn't have to be p2w, or play 2k hours to win. I'm not for this fixed stats idea exactly, but I'm for things that would make our game more popular and reasonable. Those things are systems that allow people with worse gear to do better. Catering to "whales" as the large spenders are called too much means the people not willing to pay much quit quicker and less of them even start. And the "whales" won't play if there's no scrubs to fill the void of players in the game. If this was the only bsq fix we'd get because it'd be the easiest to do, I'd take it.

If you are leveling, then you wont even be in that low level bsq for long anyways. If you are staying, then you are capping at the 40s with your statement and you should be grinding just like any mmo. If you want fair pvp where everything is the same, go make some friends and pvp. I do it, why cant you. I also have my good equips for bsq also which I farmed heavily. I don't farm as much anymore, but I earned that with hard work. I expect ppl to do no less the same.

no.

That's basically the same as if we just made a server specifically for pvp and no gears.

Might explain how it's the same, flub? I'm curious.

It makes being competitive in battlesquare easier but it's not spoonfeeding, you'd still have to build up your set and get socket cards, so I dont understand the 'no gear' part.

It's only for battlesquare, and only for the lower levels, and it'd be only an option, you could still use your +20 and pvp with similar max-geared friends in the regular bsq.

People would still get their gear up for Emporia, high level bsq, ranked pvp(if it ever gets improved), or for pve, since for bsq you'd need to have a char that stays in the corresponding levelrange.

It'd make it easier for people to build up some low-level chars just for 40-59 bsq since those seem to be the most active, you obviously would want to have a main with +20 gear for the above mentioned other pvp modes, goldfarming, dungeons, and bosses.

This is a dumb idea.

1.  Having two bsq's with how many level ranges?  8 bsq's a day times two?  16?  and the level ranges? 112 bsq's a day?  Bsq is already empty as is, this wont help it.  when 8 of them were introduced, no one started to show up.

2.  Who actually goes to bsq? Besides a few players and guilds, no one really because it doesn't give that big of a benefit.

3.  Having a limited gear set vs non-limited gear, non-limited will always be better.

What you're suggesting is lukewarm.  It's trying to go one way while looking at another.  Nothing ever works out doing something in the middle.  Either commit to one thing or don't.  Something, lack of a better term, half-a**ed like this is not the solution. Despite what people say, people that enjoy pvp/bsq will always go even if their gear sucks.  People that just show up randomly are just showing up because it's something to do while they're leveling up or taking a break from dungeons.  You're basically nerfing everyone to noob status anyways, might as well create a separate server for pvp with no gears.

1. Yeah, that's a bit too much I agree, but I kind of had the idea in my mind that they'll reduce the amount of bsq again in the future. o-o I edited my last post with only 2 out of 8 bsqs having a second option.

2. 40-49 is pretty active these days, and i see people complaining daily about (just an example) stacked +20 mages with 10* hp sockets that run and heal, etc. (and they buff farm so they're literally unbeatable with their high def but thats another story) And sometimes you have that one bsq with 8-20 level 40-49 people where no one's 'op', and those are the most fun I've ever had on this game.

If you want something like this, a entirely different server would be best. As flub said, a second server that is purely pvp and even. Have set gears for each class.

A new server dedicated to pvp is extremely unlikely and extreme in general at it's finest. Right now pvp is not required in the game to play the game as popcorn mentioned. However, working around the battle square issue is the best option without doubt. Flub mentioned something I wanted to reiterate. The battle square times is slightly overwhelming.

The intention without doubt for these times were to give all players around the world the ability to play bsq. Ironically connotation wise "players all over the world" seems like a large number, yet quite dead in general. This is quite hard to argue with, yes there are some bsqs in a certain level range during a certain time that it becomes active as it was a long time ago. This is very selective having so many criteria being met in order to have a large bsq.

The level range however is a good option so far. Extending the range would bring further imbalance so this shouldn't be changed. Level adjusting should not work and is very unreliable to balance anything since skills are not unlocked using this method.

I originally intended the ideal battle square to take place after elements get reworked. This is the main source of imbalance. As many players know that the 2nd layer of stacking is the hardest yet the most important in the current meta. Adjusting bsq when things get balanced out would be the ideal scenario. Right now our staffs are excavating only the surface of pvp so this is far off, but may sway them to take some ideas over.

Balancing is balancing for a reason. I am extremely stacked and spent quite a few bucks, but rather support on the side that don't spend money. I know the difference, the gap between the 2 is extreme. And shortening the gap is healthier to the game rather than catering to big spenders. There are different ways to make money than just enchanting for pvp purposes alone.Ex costumes. You can raise the difficulty in pve to make it more interesting and etc.
