I really don't know if there have been something like this before and if this is the best place to post this but seeing through so many private servers (Philippine servers btw) which have 2k++ players, will creating such video contest actually hurt?

 

Some admins from those servers even say that iRO is about to go down sooner or later therefore abusing the ignorance of those potential players. Some also say that they can't catch up to those who have been here longer so they rather not.

 

Can something like a promo vid contest be made? The CM's can put whatever price they want just so that players would be encouraged to make one on whatever aspect of the game they want to promote. I see lots of mmorpgs posting their sponsored promo vids, why can't WP? Something to show those potential players that we are here and we are alive and kicking.

There are lots of people who have done revised versions of the game's soundtrack and posted on YouTube. I regularly listen to those while playing. Then again, using the original track style may make it more memorable. These are things which could be used in a promo video.

Year, 6 months of VIP, item of choice from a select group of gear. There are lots of possibilities here.

Not a lot of people know how to do video editing, much less do it well for a contest. I am curious to see how many are left in the iRO community for a contest to be viable.

There a lot of videos with iRO content out there, woe and pvm ones, there is a game wich made a promoting vídeo only trough players footage and comm recordings, i think that would be epic on a RO style

This is a good idea. I've seen plenty of private servers with spectacular promotional videos so I don't see any reason why WP can't make one for iRO.
