I recently noticed that a near-requirement for making a dual dagger (DD) build for a guillotine cross (GX) was that you cannot have double attack in it, due to the double attack being reliant on my hit rate.

 

Is this a significant handicap for GXs ?

 

I am intending to make a MvP / PvM GX, with my current character already being level 160, as I am more of a casual player it takes a  month or two of playing to get to level 100 trans (without an xp event)

 

Is a katar GX viable? I notice that double attack yields +23% damage (% based off the of hand damage or of the main hand damage?), and advanced katar mastery yields +20% damage. So a DD and katar GX can’t work without skill resets in between.

DD crit is mainly to hit the mvps 100%, there are still a lot of mvps that you can hit without critting.

how do you achieve 1000 hit from gears & food/scroll, no alts' buff, no hawkeye, while using two-slotted (or less) katar?

so this brings it to the secondary question howw much better is DD crit than Katar crit ? (because it really is super easy to make a katar crit) assume about equal costs, assume that the DD crit has drake and ice pick or whatever.

DD crit is way better dps wise.

what about with hawkeye, can you have 1000+ hit with it and one or two phreeoni?

Why'd you do that tho, the 1000 hit? You'll gimp your damage output. If you changed at job 50 and don't wanna level another GX, stick with katars for agi up MVPs and use DA on nonagi up MVPs.
