Ninja, Sentinel, Twin, Invoker. Summoner without good gear arent so good in my opinion since they dont have that good catching-skills. That rolling stone skill as a catcher wont work in a 1o1 so your only way to catch someone is with chaincombos and impact presser<- or however its called. Otherwise you can just hide in your mobs, spam smartshot and cast DK. Hiding and spamming smartshot wont be any use, DK will be also useless at a large pvp map.

Ninja, Sentinel and Invo got very good skills for caching and you can perma lock with those, so you wont need that good gear for them since you can ditch out good dmg in 1 combo, and you can eay catch your enemy easy again. For Twins you even need less gear.

I would recommend:

1Sentinel

2Ninja

3Twin

4Summoner

5Invo

Invo is strong and so on, but trust me.. its not fun to play. Even summoner is more funny in pvp than invo, thats my opinion. Go for the class which got the most skills to combo with. Classes who cant do combos or classes which you cant play offensive will get boring very fast.

looks like someone never fought a summoner who can PvP, sure they don't have that much of a catch but impact presser and the chaincombo have a low cooldown and if you spawned some monsters you can use couple of others skill to make a pretty long combo but you need to know how, summoner is not only about x spamm and summoning DK, sadly thats the only way most people can play that class

This exactly explains why the homing effect removing rant ever exists.

Why so offensive, Vossel? I fought often enough against a Summy and I kinda doubt that a summoner can catch a good Sentinel with chain combo or Impact presser since the first one is hard to land and the second one gets outranged very easy, also the target will get pushed mostly in a diagonal way which makes a follower pretty hard.

Archers can easy outplay summoner, same goes for ninja if they use sleep+april, invoker vs summoner can be a bit difficult sometimes, twin vs summy is also gg.

If you fight a summoner with same gear you will realize that its kinda easy to beat as long he doesnt use DK. If he does run for 45sec.

So stop trashtalking like "you never fought a summy". Maybe i just know how to fight them. I pvped with one of the best pvp-Summoner back then and he got really pro-like gp. With Ninja it was very very hard to get him killed without sleep and april while he used revenge (i dont like to use that nib skills). With any archerclass it was easy. Shootdown and traps will safe ya day.

i fought enough summoner with same gear and i lost most of the times because they are just to op, besides it doesn't matter if the impact presser is diagonal because the summoner got enough time to make a dash or a few stabs to perform that chaincombo still in time.

You always say you are so good at PvP and have beaten so many people back then and were so good, but the game developed and evade ninja/archer are not OP anymore, so you better think twice and not everyone plays classes like archer/thief, mages and warriors are also out there so you can't say they are easy

Just stepping in, this topic is good pvp class without gear.

Every class in team oriented and situational. The blatant truth that some people can't see even when it is literally stated in patch notes.

Summoners got nerfed for being strong. Are you guys aware that it is possible to solo elga with a level 40 elemental weapon? Do you see any dps near this? No.

This is a fact. Opinions are opinions but facts are facts for a reason.

Opinions such as a good ninja, sentinel, invoker, etc etc etc can easily outplay a summoner if they use this. If you turn the sentence around and say something like, a good summoner can easily outplay the other classes if played correctly. Both these opinions reach no point other than commenting for some reason. Certainly this does reach to a certain extent and other reasons, but it should be known that it is a weak opinion, but very stubborn just for the sake of being right.

Edit:I can not beat any summoners near my level with overlord that is equally stacked. Because stats and my skill level. I personally am not capable of "comboing" approximately 20+ times in a row without getting caught once, slowly dying/instantly dying, or before time runs out. Even if I did execute that 20 separate combos successfully, I would presume it would be called a lock. I'm sure there are overlords on this server much better than I am that possibly can, but me personally, no.

Wow summy got the best dps, and? What value has that dps if you cant catch your enemy? Summoner can only catch with that chaincombo, impact presser and with golgon if im not wrong. Chain combo stun is easy to avoid, impact presser is easy to cancel, golgon is kinda luck based. They can solo elga with lv 40 weap? And? I thought this topic is about pvp.

Sentinel can use shootdown, falcons, wolf, chaincombo, that grabber, traps, are way faster than summoner and got a way better combo potential.

Archer classes can beat a summoner without getting dmg if he uses no DK, i think you cant deny that.

Also i dont know why you come up with Overlord?! Its pretty hard to kite with thar class vs a summy.

I can kindly beat any summoner at a same gear level with both archer classes, ninja, twin and invoker. And all classes that i mentioned doesnt need good gear because of their combo and skill potential. The class with the better skills/ catches got the biggest advantage.

Smart shot or not, its no use if they cant catch me. Not so hard to keep distance from smartshot and also not hard to avoid standing in the same line as the Summoner so he cant chain combo me. If he tries to impact presser catch he will eat dagger, rocket punch, chaincombo stuns, wolf, rising arrow, dragon kick and so on. If he only hides in mobs he will eat a shootdown or hypnotizer.

Same with fighting sorcerers.

So OP, since you seem to be interested in PvP without spending alot of money i can only tell you to play the class that you enjoy the most. If this class needs more gold to create try to cap at a cheaper level.

Summoner isnt such a funny class to play and not the best one to start with pvp. Twin is a pure pvp class and needs rly less gold. Probably the cheapest class to pvp with. I would still recommend you ninja. Its a monster in 1o1 and group pvp. You got maaany catches, its fast, you can do long combos and alot of other funny stuff. If you play Ninja correctly you dont have to worry abou any other classes.

Ask some other player for their opinions, watch some youtube 1o1s, you will find great players there andany types to play a class, then check out which class fits to you.

At the end every class can beat every class. Find your one and make it op.

Extremely childish arguments which baffles me and that I have to spoon feed you every single detail since you can't comprehend the entire picture or scope.

All I said was facts and you clearly didn't deny or argue with it, but misinterpreted it and continued to argue with your point. Reminds me of something, yes the strawman and ad hominem.

Is this english class? No. Will committing such things help you prove your point? No.

I have never argued against the classes you chose to be a bad choice for pvp. You just decided that it would be a good idea to argue. It's as if you literally don't comprehend anything I say, but manage to read it maybe or not, and cherry pick your own misinterpreted sentence and rant.

In relation to the topic as I will repeat myself, shove a weapon and a cape on summoner and you good to go.

Don't bother try to respond to this as it wasn't meant to be responded to, just saying you should stop provoking arguments.

Without good gear, probably the destroyer is your best friend for both PVP and PVe mobs and bosses since their snipping skill is brutal, mixed with shootdown, anti-air shot and you have a beast. I guess is for low level BSQ cause at high level you will need good gear.

Agitodesu you always have a fair view of the topics at hand, but sometimes ignoring players for their comments is the best solution. They don't know how to stop who they are  . :wah: .

Childish arguments, where? I gave good examples why your "so op smart shot" isnt that good in 1o1, probably good enough for clearing elga with a lv 40 weap but i kinda doubt that you need to catch/ stun elga first.

So to make it clear again since you are saying that i didnt answer to your points:

"Summoner can clear elga with a lv 40 weap...good dps" - wont be any use since you mosty wont be able to catch your opponent.

"Smart shot got nerfed" - And? Its an unfair skill for pvp once you got catched. Pretty annoying in BSQ but doesnt change smth about the 1o1 fact.

"ninja, senti, invo can simply outplay Summoner. You can tourn that sentence around"- you cant. I gave you examples in my post.

"I cant beat any sommoner with my OL"- well, RIP you then or dont facetank smartshot.

So to be fair, you dont want to recommend this guy summoner as a cheap pvp class, which consume tons of SP if you dont want to smartshot spam 24/7, which even leads you to nothing in a 1o1.

Summoner is a really expensive class if you want to play it in an entertaining pvp way.

@easy2kill i will ignore your last 2 sentences since i got already a strike xD

But just saying that destroyer might be a good choice also, but it got lacks of good catches if you are a player like me who doesnt catch with shotdown and snipe because they are kinda unfair in points of range and dmg. Also Destro got a bad crowd control.

The question is very tricky, that to me there is no real answer. There is no such class that is good in pvp to play without gear. Summoner with only cape and weapon can easily get killed because they are too squishy, archers without ms gears as well is easy to catch and squisy. So GIRLS what are you arguing about? ROFL.

The question should involve the budget for gears, level of char and if you don't want to spend any golds and time on any char you'd like to play for pvp then I would say don't play pvp.

PVP type, this always include gears and if accompanied by skills it will unlock the true potential of a class. Example an invoker with decent MS and attack speed can land barbarian easily and can knock you back using z spam. A good archer with huge MS will be almost impossible to catch and can cheap shot you to death etc.

Peace out.

Thank You!

Eli is totally right. Only good class without needing "good gear" would be twin. thanks to block and "at light speed" skill they can fairly keep up with other classes with less effort.

With Sentinel you also dont need "so" good gear because you can pretty good hide in traps and got some nice "instant" catcher.

Ninja can cancel alot with swift, can kite fairly good with daggers and also skypenetration got a wide rangeand VB for superarmor+stun effect .. just saying.

In my opinion, the best budget PvP class is no different than the best PvP class. It all depends on how good your gameplay is; some nab with a stacked cape and weapon on Summoner won't be beating veteran pvpers of a "weaker" class with the same tier of gear.  If you give a sniper rifle to someone who has never shot one before, they probably won't do well in a marksman competition in comparison to other seasoned competitors. This game is heavily reliant on a player's gear, but that's not to say your skill level doesn't make a difference. Therefore, which class is the best does not matter here.

OP, I'm sorry to break it to you but you're going to get rekt on any class you play unless you don't suck or you spend a lot of money/time on your character. Since you're looking for budget suggestions, that means you aren't interested in spending the time/money to have a strong character....which means the most important factor you need to worry about is how much you suck or don't suck. PvP in any game is no different than this example; the learning curve may not be as steep on certain classes, but playing a stronger or easier class doesn't make you an instant pro at PvP. You guys are not answering this player's question appropriately; you're talking about maximum potential when this player is simply looking for some beginner advice. Said advice should simply be: pick the class that most interests you, practice practice practice, and learn to overcome your competitor classes. You need to walk before you can run....

I, personally, main some of the weaker classes because I like the challenge, and I still stack plenty of wins in the PvP room.

I'd say with Clerics and Dragoons you can get off with a little worse gear. Clerics can heal a lot and have good crowd control, and dragoons are naturally a bit tanky and also have 2 nice heals. And I'd also say summoners and twins because those are just strong in pvp anyway, and on twins especially you can quite nicely avoid getting hit with high ms and the block skill.

That's just for bsq, empo and normal fights with a crowd of people though. 1v1's come down to gear very often, so there really isn't a class that'd be especially good at that. Besides you can choose to 1v1 people with similar gear or fight without gear, so it really isn't an issue there.

well i would say we can all agree with Twin thx to their as/ms buff and their abillity to block + attack while they are frozen and so on.
