1. Failed to write file. PatchClient\Patcher\Thumbs.db

I tried to delete it. Then this happens.

2. Failed to write file. PatchClient\Thumbs.db

I tried to delete it too. Back to 1. Then I tried to delete both. But the problem still persists.

Please help me. Thank you.

Note: My RO folder is in my external hard drive. But I've never had this problem before.

Did this issue crop up after the recent patches that were released on 22nd? If yes, then you might want to download them manually from the ftp server. Use the following link to get the patch.inf file. Replace the one in your RO folder with this one. Transfer the two patches dated 2016-07-22 to your folder and run the patcher again. See if this fixes the issue.

Alternately, you can simply get the patch.inf file I linked above and let your patcher re-download the patches by itself instead of getting them manually off the ftp server.

I tried to do what you suggested. But it doesn't seem to fix the issue. I can play. But every time I open a new client, it redownloads the 2016-07-22 patches.

Try the following:

  1. Close every active RO game client.
  2. Clear Internet Explorer's cache, clear cache guide can be found under Appendix #2 here.
  3. Force repatch of 2016-07-22 by following the instructions in this link.
  4. Watch the patching progress bar, note if any issues arise at this point.

Make sure Ragnarok.exe is set to run as an administrator all the time.

Let us know how it goes.

Make sure Ragnarok.exe is set to run as an administrator all the time.

Lol this maybe why. I can't run as admin because I don't know the password. I'm about to go home now. I'll ask the password to the cafe admin tomorrow.

See if you can get this option marked.

Right click on Ragnarok.exe -> Choose properties -> Choose Compatibility tab -> Put a mark on Run this program as an administrator-> Apply then Ok.

If you can't do that then yes, speak with the Cafe admins.

Somehow the admins and the owner don't know the password either. Anyway, thanks for trying to help. I'll probably go to other cafe just to patch it later.

Edit: I just fixed it. I need to delete both Thumb.db in PatchClient\ and PatchClient\Patcher\ while patching, otherwise they would resurrect themselves and the patch will fail.
