I know for a fact that all this will ever do to MvPing is just some people being able to kill the MvPs they could already kill previously faster. The MvP campers will still be camping same MvPs and most of the MvPs that matter will still be behind walls of instances so everybody can enjoy them. Again, not affecting me, just happy I can stock for some extra weeks on Enriched <3 (although not 100 boxes those are the biggest scam in this event...)

 

A lot of MVPs nowadays are Sura or GTFO. Those who are not this are "First come, first serve", since a lot of classes can kill them quickly enough, and, hell! I do it from a Warlock! XD Also, there's Beelzebub. '-' This MAY give some classes the chance to better compete against suras specially GX and Ranger, and in the other case, it will still be FCFS.

 

But im just a main AB player who will be aiming for the +20 GCW and chibipope hat and recovery light. nothing gamebreaking there lol.

I am seriously waiting to see you do that.

I actually find the other way around. So far as I have read, I think those WoE-active "veterans" against this are actually afraid to give new players a chance to shine. Besides, the ore boxes can be bought by new players to upgrade their gears on their own, which removes the p2w situation, unlike the previous shadow set events, which really is OP and p2w.

 

And this is one of the reasons why I don't want to transfer in Chaos and will go to classic instead if something happens to Thor like closing or meging.

 

 

The statement I bolded is the exact reason why I'm looking forward to this event. The newer higher level players can't compete in WoE properly because they don't have proper upgrades to compete with veterans in the first place.

 

If im right your playing in thor right? dont forget that a bunch of players in Thor server have +15 and +20 already w/c came from pRO who sadly did not got downgraded when they migrated to iRO, this event wont really help new players to participate in WoE unless your a Ranger/Archbishop/Warlock/Sorcerer/DB Type Rune Knight/Howler Genetic/Maestro/Wanderer. If your not one of this class and you don't have talent on your main character then all I can say is Have fun trying to survive.

 

@Topic the more i see this thread the more i think its really broken since the +9 to +10 barrier is still there but if i said that the +9 to +10 should get easier its still will be broken... but better? for atleast the returning players not the new players.

I'm looking forward for this event to be implemented sometime by the end of the year when we get the nightmare biolab patch so we can upgrade the OP gears to the fullest. It seems that they will just implement it early.

On the other hand they are the most likely choice of weapon for beginners since they are easy to drop, cheap, and offer good stats :x

What are your concerns after viewing the data? I intend to meet with the studio before the event goes live next week. Where I will ask the clear and concise concerns the community shares here.

 

• How do you expect new guilds to rise, to fight against these guilds with +13s and +14s and even lend them out.

 

 I just got back to the game other than the on-and-off WOE every week and I am hopeful that I could upgrade a few of my +9 items I have to +12. The concern is, not many people who have just returned are willing to spend. Of course, to get improve, spending here is necessary. Not everyone has enough money to buy ores or just buy KP in game. The event may be okay for me but not for everyone.

 

It might be hard for new guilds to rise unless members of bigger guilds with proper gears and over-upgraded items are going to separate themselves to form a new guild; however, a guild from scratch with barely any decent gears for PVM let alone WOE? That's not easy unless they're also willing to invest. It's more of a player initiative but if it involves spending money, that's another thing.

GX in Thor can still perform a bit when defending an agit just flag warp then suicide Rolling cutter the support lanes   or just spam Poisons to everyone.

2000 HD bradium and 200m for 1 single gear. I haven't stocked up on HD ores because I don't know if it is worth to spend few b to +14 a gear.
