not force gms to be informative. But at least tell us what currently event active ingame announcement. Not much people especially newbie using forum. They relies on irowiki to get the some information

The thing is a lot of RO players don't frequent the forums. MMOs usually have information either on the patcher or via in-game pop-ups. Secondary source would be the official site. Forums are no place for announcements, mainly discussions. So iRO is going about it the wrong way for a lot of folks.

 

The in game UI is terrible for announcements, at best you would have a welcome message in your chat window... and I am willing to bet people would ignore that too :U

people on the server shouldn't have to force GMs to do anything

 

its a part of their job description

 

some days I swear, I want to see their description so I know what to hold them accountable too

they surely dont keep players informed or updated, they dont hold people accountable, lawl what do they do?

At the end of the day, all WP can do is push out more variety of announcements.

 

This won't solve the problem, there have been quite a few sad instances of people who see announcements and don't even read them properly.

Even maintenance thread not have detail explanation, like this Halloween quest, They didn't give npc location and how to do it. It like player job to exploration it, i know the most fun of iro is exploration rune migrad but too many hidden information, make me think like we trapped on other world like log horizon anime and player explore the game mechanic itself without GMs guidance

Better than megaphone announcements that disappear quickly before you get a chance to read them. Especially when you're chatting with someone and the text pushes the announcement out of view.

how about they actually update the window when you press alt+U, lots of wasted spaces there that could update the player, including quest events themselves. can we set that window to be toggled if the player wants it to pop up when they log in right after maintenance?

If they only included the events that will happen on the next patch so that people will be aware on what will be happening. Even i dont know that the Turning Egg Event is ongoing.    I can see that a lot of people wer talking how the event mess up. But i know soon there will be a 2nd Halloween Event so stay cool guys. But maybe GM's consider that some of the guys that play iRO is not active on forum so how will they know that something Egg TurnIn is happening. LOL. Kudos!
