A guild member decides to get angry because we had a full guild party going to Chaos and because we were full, he couldn't join us. Then decides to leave the guild, form his own guild, and dedicate his time talking badly about my guild by creating lies to generate a public dislike?

I have no idea how to handle this situation but it has me extremely upset...

I have a really useful tip. If someone is talking trash about you, they probably aren't worth paying mind to. And if some people actually care about some retard talking trash in a game, you probably don't want to care much about them either.

I think he's more concerned about his guild getting bad press. Don't worry; it happens.

Something similar happened to my guild back in THQ. One of our members got mad at us (I honestly don't even remember why), so he left & made a guild with a dangerously similar name and emblem. It blew over after a little.

Now that I think of it, that's really similar to what's going on with you... So yeah, be patient and maybe it'll turn out the same for you, too

Unless he brings a megaphone message or you get a sudden flood of hate whispers, you don't have to do anything unless he's harassing other members or stalking you, in which case you should report him and wait two to three weeks for it to be processed.

Like all the above posts have said, ignoring them is the better solution and I definitely agree.
However, I have high doubt of most who DOES ignore, most wouldn't take it anymore and fire back.

But hey? If he doesn't stop talking-_-, just ask for hard evidence of whatever he accused you of?

As others have said, don't worry about it. If you just go about your normal business and your remaining guild members continue to treat others with respect, you have nothing to worry about. It won't be long before the guy gets bored and moves on -- just ignore him and don't add any fuel to his fire.

I didn't mention names, so it's clear that I was not creating more drama. Also, if you want to run a successful guild you kind of have to care about the game. You also need to care about members as well as anyone who has negative things to say about your guild...
