What would be the fastest / easiest build to level a Sage to 99?

(mostly solo, I mean are there party's even anymore?)

 

Medium funds, no Soul Linker.

The Battle Sage build looks kind of ok-ish, but how effective is that in leveling compared to using single target bolt spells and stuff?

if you don't plan on doing id3, vfierwall with a moonie dagger at GH prison is your way. Hindsight is awesome for lvling, just nope for low level tho.

Tbh I just have 0 idea how to level a Sage.

As a Mage/Wizard all you do is snipe Geographers with firebolt until you go nuts and keep seeing Geographers even when you close your eyes.

I kind of want to avoid that, or rather, I just want to quickly reach lv 99 to rebirth and get a WoE Scholar going.

 

Neither do I really know how to properly use the status points, on a Wizard I had I went 99 int and 50 dex (around lv 80-ish) and the cast time was so incredibly slow that probably 99 dex and 50 int would have been better.

I've been away from Classic for a while and got used to the Renewal mechanics too much to know how to get back going here.

 

 

I can afford a Moonlight Dagger, but doesn't that SP thing only work with physical attacks?
Vertical Firewall at GH Prison up to 99? Is that a thing and would it at least go a tiny bit fast?

Also how would I level in ID3?

If you want to get to 99 quickly then get lvl 10 TS, wait for an id3 party and get 99 in a couple hours '-'

 

 

There is a turn in past lvl 70, usually ppl gather up there to lvl their chars.

 

 

And yeh, moonie dagger works with firewall.

 

 

PS: if u got the funds for an isilla it would be the best for id3, u cast lvl 1 TS till it procs, strings+isilla proc is pretty much instant cast.

Party go TS for ID3. Solo go hindsight, you can solo almost anywhere.

Thank you for that Hindsight video, it's nice to see how that actually works!

However I do not have access to a Soul Linker so it would always only use Lv 1 - 3 spells and that is not as effective I guess.

 

Are there party's for ID3?
Really, the few times I logged in the server just looked so empty and dead, are people organizing party's and if so, where would I find them?

 

Also how do I properly stat a TS Sage then?
I mean I know the end stats should be 99 int/dex, but the last time I played my Wizard, as I said above, the cast time was incredibly slow when I got 99 int first and had only around 40 dex around lv 80-ish.

Any suggestions on that?

Like what do I stat first, then second and to which number ?

The only thing I really know about Classic is how to level an Assassin Cross by using Fly Wings, Sonic Blow and EDP at Anolians for 22m exp/h, but nowadays that might also be already outdated and "slow".

 

 

 

EDIT:

So I'm currently Lv 74 (Hi Anolians ;P) with 60 int and 60 dex and the remaining status points not distributed yet.

I think I can stay at Anolians until Lv 80, which would allow me to either get 80 Dex/Int or one of them 97 and the other 60.

What would be better?

 

My cast time is super slow and I don't really have any equipment to use. (Survivor's Set any good? o.o)

I do have some Battleground Equipment (Wizard Staff Speedy, Recovery Wand and the BG Wizard Set)

 

Currently stuck with a regular Arc Wand and Fish EXP Shoes/Hat, also have a Phen Clip / Formless Exp Shoes when needed.

TS is lv 10, I also have Whirlwind and Endow Tornado on Lv 5 in prep for ID3.

 

 

 

EDIT 2:

 

Went for Int first, found an ID3 party and TS with an Isilla Card works like a charm omg.

The only downside is the empty SP bar when there is no Priest and Dancer :I
