Axe Boomerang Weapons Comparison?

Hello everyone,

 

So with the implemented Verus cards, especially the Step card that increase 30% axe boom dmg and 60% at +10, which weapon is better for Axe Boom build? Will Axe mechanic rival with Mado in terms of dps/overall from now to the future? (new equips like bio5 headgear can be discussed here too :D)

 

Option1: +10 Crimson 2handed Axe:

200 weight

200 base atk + 100 from refine + 50 from base level + 50 from refine?

2 slots so it's 120% axe boom dmg with 2 step cards.

 

Option2: +10 giant axe

400 weight

330 base atk + 70 from refine

1 slot = 60% axe boom dmg, 1 step card.

Malangdo enchant: double EA5 = 20% ranged dmg, double EA6 = 24% ranged dmg

 

Option3: Give your opinions here xD

 

So, what do you guys think about this? :3

 

P/s: I'm just bad with calculating dmg, so give me a hand guys xD

there's an easier way to calc for dmg comparisons between weapon without adding a lot of distracting variants you know

 

sample: axe boom with 160 total str (and say, 400 status atk)

 

veteran axe [2step]:

250 watk, 300wgt, +70 max eatk with crafts

450 watk w/ str bonus, (500 base + 300 wgt ) (1.75 lvl mod) (3.2 card and supp-combo) = 4480 dmg mod

(400+520) (44.8) = 41216 

 

crimsonTHA [2step]:

200 watk, 200wgt, +275 eatk @15refine

360 watk, 39.2 dmg mod

(400+635) (39.2) = 40572

 

tornado axe [step]:

320 watk, 400wgt

576 watk, 40.95 mod

(400+576) (40.95) = 39967

 

note that the crimson axe is +15 to be that efficient

 

now that's just raw

 

if we put weapon upgrade bonus, tornado axe is better because it's lvl4

if we put weapon variance, tornado axe also better because of raw weapon atk

and finally we put range% to see that tornado axe yields best max dmg given all the same variants

seroiusly, people who keep pushing for crimson axe and vet axe are just trying their best to sell their stuff through false propaganda

axe boomerang and axe tornado not the same?

 

I think hes refering to the Tornado Axe weapon.....

Axe boomerang wise for PVM, for me the Best is Doom slayer because it gives 600 weight, Weapon Lv 4, can be enchanted 350 atk when 95 str base.

Doom Slayer us awufully bad. Since it has a ridiculous base atk, you wont make much use of power maximize and the str bonus.

4x step cards will make this become the strongest axe boomerang weapon for one handed axe.
second place is perfect ea12 enchanted vecer axe with 2x step cards.

actually i am still confused about the relationship of supplement part dex and step card. is it additive or multiplicative.

if additive: say 1 step cards on +10 weap
100%original dmg+100%+60% = 260% original value
if multiplicative
100% original dmg × (100%+100%) × (100%+60%) = 320% original value
or mixed (additive step, multiplicative supple dex)
(100% original dmg+60%)×(100%+100%) = 320% original value
mixed (additive supple dex, multiplicative step)
(100% original dmg+100%)x(100%+60%) = 320% original dmg

also on the question of spam, do we need 2 supplement dex ? that means one cannot rent megs to try for stupid damage?

 

does kiel help with boomerang spam in this case? what about aspd?

Skill% boosts are all aditive. Sum the total % boost and then apply it to your atk, then apply the skill%

does kiel help with boomerang spam in this case? what about aspd?

 

The combo effects are only applied once, so that 2nd dex part wouldn't give you the cooldown or damage boost other than the innate benefits it already has. 

 

Kiel won't help with axe boom specifically as it has both aftecast delay and cooldown, though you would be able to use other skills sooner after using axe boom with a kiel (though you already get a bit of this with the dex part.)

Is the upcoming Mineworker Pickaxe[2] worth a look at? for two handed axes that is.

 

Also would a +10 orcish axe with 4x step card do more damage then any two handed axe or is it just for the benefit of wearing a shield?
