PVP/WoE use a different character. Even a super novice is more useful (meteor storm spam).
Stack reductions, get megs/bryn, get proper wep, and pvm is easy.

I have to ask: Are Meg/Bryn a common thing for players on Classic? Your mention of them seem to be very casual in a "It's not THAT hard to get a hold of them" kind of way.

If your brand new then they are probably not going to be easily accessible. Megs, specifically for PVM, are really easy to come by if you join a guild. Probably because PVM and non-WoE play isn't super active on Classic. Bryns are very common, along with asprikas. There are no shortages of god items on classic, only a shortage of players.
