see the picture,i have 80 agi and i have 173 aspd. im just wondering why my aspd didnt increase although the fallen angel wing description said for every 20 base agi = +1% aspd so i have now 80 agi = +4% aspd but nothing happened to my aspd its still 173

You generally need more than 10% equip aspd modifier to actually gain 1 flat aspd so not getting 1aspd from a 4% aspd increase isn't uncommon.

Attack speed is number of attacks per second.It is calculated like this: 50 / (200 - aspd),

in your case 50 / ( 200 - 173 )  = 50 / 27 ~ 1.85, it means you attack 1.85 times per second.

You increased it 4% means 1.85 + 0.04*1.85 = .1.85 + 0.074 = 1.924, calculated back 200 - ( 50 / 1.924) =

200 - 25,98 = 174,02.

Considering you gained no aspd means you had some decimal in your 173 aspd  mean you aspd is 173.xy or 172.xy

im not sure if they round it where xy is decimal part that is not included in equip window.

As you can see in the post above mine, ASPD in Renewal is pants-on-head retarded. Its a pretty fair question IMO.

Your ASPD increases even if it's not displayed, of the effective number of attacks per second is only increased in integer multiples of ASPD?

i think Azzy said it was calculated from 200 before, but i always thought it was from 193. i think maybe some things like the conc/awake pots are calculated using 200?

 

because 193 would make more sense in this case where the number doesn't change (171 = aspd without muramasa, total +12% aspd):

171 + 2.6 = 173.6 (using 193)

171 + 3.5 = 174.5 (using 200)

 

the aspd in the window rounds down so it would show 173 regardless of whether it's 173.0 or 173.9

Yes you are right it seems it is calculated from equipment aspd that is calculated from 195 and not 200 if irowiki

info is accurate,and yes it seems it is rounded down,

Because everything in the game is rounded downwards so as to not have to create too many commands which could potentially overcomplicate the game. If ASPD was rounded up, it would make you wonder why skill damage is always rounded down for multihit generated skills.
