In the previous patch notes, camp said desocketing will return in a different form.
does the desocketing in the future will still work the same with different catalyst and VAS?
is it still going to be like recover the card and destroy the gear? does it only apply to MVP carded gears?
or will it retain the gear if you're a VIP or something?
how does the previous desocketing work?
i hope these questions can be answered.

We can only speculate for now, but this VAS should be very fast. I would assume that you wouldn't need anything else but WPE to desocket.
You can desocket anything you want, it's up to you to determine if the card is worth it. It isn't limited to just MvP cards.
I would imagine that the gear would not be retained, but you never know.

It's a fact that people have been hoarding powerful or well enchanted gears with poor cards just for the moment they can retain the gear when desocketing.

I'd love to desocket my weapons if possible, so that I can atleast have a bit of money rolling when I sell em, good god am broke af

Better for WP to cash out on desocketing request rather than deal with what should have been a limited supply of desocketing books but wasn't.

Desocket books were way easy to get than wpe points. Either way they do it, it's unlimited supply of desocket. Now they're just cash grabbing.

Desocketing books were not being released via WP anymore, the fact that an unlimited supply was still existing was a worry. At least doing it this way, the only way for desocketing to happen is directly via WP, and being a VAS, it would take urgency and be done a lot quicker.

camp can you give us some idea of how things are progressing?
if WPE is needed for the desocket can you please allow use to keep both gears and cards?

desocketing thru VAS will give WP some money. i hope they use that money to improve the server.
