So here we have caps to these big impact stats. However an issue players run into with any drastic core gear requirement change is the issue of what would be a good setup to run now.

 

So I'm hoping to create this topic to ease the confusion and aid those who might now be struggling to adapt. Essentially, experienced players may add their input on gearing advice for particular classes as a means of helping players out. Or just spike discussion on possible unique set combinations for these changes and maybe help spark a BiS build. Newer players can even see and ask what is recommended.

 

Disclaimer; No requirement to post SS of your sets. It's understandable players may have privacy issues regarding players obsessively right clicking their characters in game. Forum rules also respects players privacy with these as well. If you wish to just provide text-input, perfectly reasonable.

 

So, for Overlords, I'll start with my own setup.

So Standard 6-piece Hero PoS with Secmathian Shoes. FCR/CD/AS are an amazing set bonus combination and good ms from shoes and at least 1 accessory bonus.

 

Kryos Ring is temporary. Meant to be replaced by something later on (A Solar is BiS)

 

IM Set is Unity>Wizard>Husky. Standard AS/MS setup. Dual-Community can be Subbed Fellowship/Second Similar Ring if they become re-available.

 

Medal is Wind Walker. Still BiS Medal for 80+. Missing IM Belt and Shield to be filled if I find and enchant/sc. I prefer the enchantable ones with good defense bonus however you could just legend a belt for CR/CD.

 

This setup (Partly temporary and missing an IM Belt and Shield) Actually lets me keep 6 piece Best Unity and even Purple Wizard Wings and Husky. 399 Movement Speed (Aint bothered by a +1 due to lack of impact) and capped 300% attack speed buffed. 37.4% Final Critical Chance and 590% Critical Damage which is great but not maxed.

 

Please avoid all toxicity and negative comments toward staff and other players. These cap topics are sensitive and may be highly moderated if they get out of hand too quickly.

Overlords won't be doing much damage anymore, not sure if I'd be using my 2 solar cerbs or even 1 since players will stop using movement speed sets, reverting to pos sets the overlord base damage will be pretty poop against those players. Bloody roar will kill you no matter how tanky you are with that % hp drop so Hlt isn't the best option even when using it wisely. I'm thinking just replace the stats that boosted atk spd and mspd and replace it with anything else would be perfectly fine at this point since it won't even matter. The theory craft of this entire topic is the same as before except it follows this logic "Do the same as before but replace the excess mspd/atkspd with other stats"

The point of the topic is to speed up the adapting process by aiding players due to the drop in speeds. Players seem to make claims of respective classes becoming useless. Overlord was merely an example however. They've always been middle of the ladder at best due to their biggest issue being bad skill damage calculations and the attack vs defense in general. Leading to a lot of "High Risk, Low Rewards" that basically most of it's other middle-tier rivals can basically surpass or match with much lower risk or skill-ceiling. Overlords weren't too hit with this change as 400 was considered "good" for their movement speed and 300% attack speed is argued alright with good graphic capability.

 

The better point is for more impacted classes. Archers and Thieves for example which the soft-cap and hard-cap topics seemed to circle around. These classes have other options outside of their respective, glass-cannon, mach speed builds.

 

To the case of "Do the same as before." that may not be so simple. Some players may hit a crossroads between particular setups and whether or not one thing is better than the other. Particular items that give similar bonuses in different slots. Another example would be Various God Sets and single-bonus IM set pieces vs. Unity Set or another IM set in the future or current. Both can aid in the idea of reaching caps, but which would be preferred based on the class.

 

Yes the end goal is "Hit caps, focus something else." and that ultimately leads to HLT and %Max HP. But players may not be 100% sure on what is BiS for doing so. So reassurance and advice from experts is always welcome.

Best in slot, meaning the best possible item for that particular equipment slot (a ring, for example).

This is my setup for my savage 77 capped

i did HERO BD 6/7 for max CD and Heirloom Karkharous Gloves for capped MS, 2 15* Caracha Solar Rings, Bone dragon master for medal 10% CD 1.5% FCR 10% AS/MS +15 HLT i can swap it for a galaxy expert medal but i like to see my CD bleed :)

FCR : 37.0 w/ agi buff (im using 2 6* spec agi cards)

HP : 61333 (im using 4 8* max hp cards i can get a bit more if i remove the agi cards and replace them w/ hlt cards)

 

This setup is a mix of damage and a bit of tankiness (since im only using BD HERO as my set i only have 21.5k def which is useless if the one you are fighting in pvp have solar rings and POS weapon.) if i swap for a rare elga set i have to give up using arcadia necklace and use a ms necklace and azure gala gloves at the cost of lower FCR just to reach at least 390 MS and i only get a bit more hlt and a bit more defense but i doubt the +60 hlt can beat the amazing 22.5% MAX HP of arcadia necklace (i added the +50 hlt bonus from the rare bdl top but since im wearing a BD HERO TOP +40 HLT i subtracted the amount to 10.) but as for hero POS it's different i can keep the arcadia necklace and achieve at least 390+ MS but i cant still wear my best unity gloves since i need to wear an azure glove for more MS.

 

Soulcraft stats for my set are mostly agi and hlt, max CD CR on paris wing and BDL weapon w/ +12% MAX PHYSICAL ATTACK and HLT, Max CR on perse belt, earring, 2 rings, and 54% CR on arcdia necklace (some accessories have CD on them.) and 10% MS SC on my boots.

 

For IM set 10% MS on god set boots, 10% CD and 5% Max hp on purple wiz wing, all IM accessories have 3% CD on them which sums up at 15% CD, and 20% CD on zodiac gold claw.

 

This is my own build feel free to copy it and make some adjustments to your liking.
