The  set is soooo juicy for warlock. Assuming +13 survivors rod: 130 flat MATK from circlet, 130 MATK from orb, +60% earth/wind damage, +45% chain lightning and earth strain, a chance for chain lightning to get another +100% boost - pretty much a pseudo runaway magic for one specific spell. Fixed cast reduction and mdef penetration to ensure easy access to 100% mdef pierce

 

Edit: not that easy, using survivor's orb means losing mob scarf

 

Basically a wind/earth version of pororoca

 

For sorcerer...Not so much, neutral Pwave would receive a powerful boost and would allow easy 100% mdef pierce with magician's glove, that's it. Losing runaway magic hurts a lot though.  60% wind damage boost is lost if it follows the same calculations as Elvira, which is likely. Could be decent for earth grave, but would be made redundant with the arrival of the sorcerer's rod for earth grave (can't find it to link, sorry)

 

I guess I'll remain stuck with the gffs dex/temporal dex sp5/rm because of the dex boost and runaway

Those new gears seems good but we don't have Survivor's Circlet yet for the full set.

Scarab's High Heels + Laphine Staff Combo better for general boss slaying scenario, not only for warlock and sorcs but also AB and autocast magic sura if people playing it 

 

It also have combo with another New World Weapon like Durga for GXes, Elven Bow for performers, and Carga Mace for Sura

Lol yea excited for new items right now  you can start upgrading survivor rods and mant people are already buying up the rod xd but survivor set may not even come in next OCP

Well you have a +14 SFB with two KK cards like me, sure you can tell the difference in damage between Crimson Rock and Comet. In fact, even without 2 x True KK Cards, Crimson Rock can still easily outdamage Comet in most circumstances. In circumstances where Comet is actually better than other spells, it wont help you much anyway since you wont be able to one shot  high-level mobs or kill MVPs efficiently with Comet.

I think for myself it all to prevent myself from regretting because I never tried those build.

Yeah it costs 2 x Red gemstones, a whooping 800 SP per cast with stupidly long cast time/cooldown, for mediocre damage and the only reason to have it is to look cool. Unfortunately, having a so-called cool skill will not help you solo MVPs/instances, nor will it help you get into a party like bio4/5 and ET. Not mentioning WLs have too many good skills for the 60 skill points available.

Comet is actually nice for low geared people because it enables them to oneshot stuff in mid TI range rather easily.

And even if you get it just because it's cool looking you still have enough skill points to get everything that matters, so it doesn't "kill" your character.

Just because Comet is weak that doesn't mean your whole build will suck just because you have it.

I have a WL with Comet and can do things just as well with her as with my non-Comet WLs.

I just don't use Comet anymore, but did in mid TI back when I started because my gears sucked.

Can't have a maxed Drain Life with everything else I want in a cOmet build, but eh, neither can a Tetra Build.

And Tetra builds would also have to get less Crimson Rock levels if they want Drain Life.

The Elvira and Tikbalang Cards would only effect the physical attack portion, you need Neutral magic damage increase if you want to increase the MATK portion.
