Alright, so it's pretty easy to agree that the jump from Sphinx to Clock Tower, and then to Glastheim are both really big jumps in terms of damage and gear.

What kind of equipment is recommended to have before you level there?

 

I'm thinking of these possiblities (Not all of them!!!):

 

4 slot weapon with 4x Nightmare Card (Damage up to Undead)

4 slot weapon with 4x Santa Poring Card (Damage up to Darkness)

4 slot weapon with 4x Skel Worker Card (Damage up to Medium)

4 slot weapon with 4x Majorous Card (Damage up to Large)

 

Footgear with Matyr Card (+8% HP and +1 Agi, for extra durability)

 

Shield with Tirfing Card (Less Damage from Medium)

Shield with Executioner Card (Less Damage from Large)

Shield with Thara Frog Card (Less Damage from Demi-Human) - suggested by xxgaboxx123

 

Garment with Raydric Card (Less Neutral Physical Damage) - suggested by xxgaboxx123

 

 

But what else would be good to have?

Do any of the enemies in Glastheim use elemental attacks? Would an element-change armor card be useful (like Bathory Card to change element to Darkness?) or a Garment card like Isis (reduce Darkness magic damage?)

Or are all monsters there using physical "Neutral" attacks, meaning Raydric card is best for Garment here?

 

Please leave your own suggestions/criticisms/tips!

yes go for the raydric card, also a thara frog for shield would be useful since some of them like raydric/alice/abysmal knight, they are humans, also for accesories i dont know what class are you, but kobold, zerom or kukre are good options, i think there is a better card than kukre that gives +3 agi, but i don't remember what card it is.

Trick to get the highest damage from weapon card  (for physical class only):stack different card to get the best multiply value

Example:

Now i will hit this

 

 

with skill

 

 

Case 1:

 i use

 

 

the damage value i got is

 

 

 

Case 2:

i use 

 

 

the damage value i got is

 

 

So as you can see with 4 santa poring card i deal less damage than stack different card

If you play ragnarok client you will know why but incase you are new to this game here is what happen

 case 1:

4 santa poring card = 1.2 x 4 = 1.8 

it means you get 80% more damage

case 2:

2 santa poring card +1 orc archer + 1 minorous =  1.4(2 santa poring) x 1.2(1 orc archer) x 1.15(1 minorous )  =1.932

it means you get 93,2% more damage

Would it not be better to use 2 Santa poring cards and 2 orc archer cards?

 

The multiplayer would be 1.4 (x 2 santa poring) x 1.4 (orc archer) = 1.96

You need to tell us your class.

 

If you are a knight or something (reading your suggestions) then try to mob and Magnum Break. Monsters in Glast Heim are weak to holy property, and they cast curse status. Also, you just want to glast heim from 80 - 85 because then you can go Gramps. So don't waste a lot of zeny now there and focus in the gear for your 3d class.
