I was AFK leveling my homunc in OD2. It doesnt not have any AoE skill. As usual, I tried to find a place with no one on the screen, and parked. I came back 20 mins later, and someone is casting Poison Mist right on top of me. Is this allowed? Obviously it isnt aimed at me, it is aimed at them, but they are standing close enough that it makes it impossible for me to AFK there. Now, I moved, so that I could level, but I dont think that is very fair.

If it is allowed, is there anything that I can do about it? Am I allowed to drop Magnetic Earth near me, so that he has to back off a bit if he wants Poison Mist to work?

Hate to say it, but it isn't kill stealing or skill abuse, being an asshat isn't against the rules, while using ME to interfere with their leveling is.

Best you can do find another spot.

I feel yer pain tho, man.. AFK'd up two homun, never wanna do it again.

Nope, ME, moving them with skills, etc, so on, all an abuse.

That is BS. It isnt like I would follow him. He is free to move just 5 cells away. I can see it as abuse or harassment if you follow them around, so they cant do anything, but dropping it on top of your own alt should definitely be allowed... Anyone could claim abuse, just by walking to a spot and claiming it with a wizard or something.

it may be ill mannered behavior, but not skill abuse/ks reportable.

On the plus side, you can record them.

If you can get clear evidence they have their homun set to KS your's (actively attacking the specific enemy your homun is attacking) it IS against the rules and quite reportable, but even then the GMs aren't likely to bother with it.

Which part? His AoEing on me, or my Magnetic Earth? Assuming that I really cant Magnetic Earth, what stops me from bringing a wizard and just chain AoEing on top of him?

It isnt actively KSing my mobs, no. Just made it impossible for me to go anything, because anything in range gets snapped up by him.

What stops you is that you have to make a conscious, malignant effort in order to aoe his mobs, which is harassment and kill stealing, meanwhile you can't prove that person is doing it on purpose, targeting you specifically, or for that matter, who was in the spot first.

GMs tend to avoid doing anything about homunculus reports cause there's simply too many variables, and screenshots can't prove anything against an afk individual.

It's a bitch, I know, lots of people realize this and move on, you think you're the first to complain about it on the forums?

No, of course not. But the fact that people complain, and nothing gets done, doesnt mean people should stop complaining and move on. And I think that it is ridiculous that just because they are AFK, they are allowed to do as they please, and no one has any recourse. You cant report them, you cant do the same back, and you cannot even prevent them from doing it in a limited area of the map.

Oh there's nothing stopping you from doing the same back.

Used to get my guildies to afk their level 150 homuns on people trying to push me out of a spot, Seeing 6 level 150 Homuns in a single spot convinced them to move real fast.

That still makes it a privilege only afforded to Geneticists with a Homunc that has an AoE, though. And no one else. That doesnt strike anyone as a gigantic double standard?

It's incredibly unfair, yeah.

Just keep at it, and look forward to paying the grief forward. Once you have an aoe you can force someone else out of a spot whenever you like and no one can stop you.

Sunken ship would sort of require me to have AoE on the homunc, though. The spawnrate there is insane, lol.

I have bad experience in OD2 before, I was banned for 3 days, then 1 week and lastly 1 month because of  continuous trash talking to other player. He is also banned for 1 month. GM decided to  banned us because we keep sending ticket.  The reason is just occupying spot. There is no empty screen in OD2.  Endure it and avoid trouble, once you get  AOE you can make it competitively.

They also can't prove that the wizard wasn't there first, or that the wizard isn't just AoEing his own mobs.

The fact you are allowed to afk level a homunv is already outright privileged. Imagine if they say you arent appiwed that?

Lol!!!!!!!

My take on this is that, you shouldnt be leveling while afk, so I guess just let it go, that dude probably just had couple of hours to play anyway. He will be gone soon.
