Most attempts at a video guide usually end up in outcry over gear recommendations. People want noob friendly guides of classes practically assuming you use eden gear and no pots the whole way.

 

It would be up to the community to do this kind of thing.

 

When the best things to use are all 1b+ its not helpful to anyone really. Plus with the constant influx of p2w OCP boxes being best in slot any gear recommendation video will end up being outdated too fast. Especially if you are making class-specific gear recommendations.

And videos should serve as general baselines, you don't have to copy exactly everything the person is using. 

ex: the video using a triple sword guardian + rudolf hat. Great, from this you know you can just focus on the skill damage and some healing efficiency, aspd etc is not necessary. You can get those with an Eden sword and doing the quests for it's enchants, against let's say Demon race, for Harpies, because you've read on the speed leveling guide from Fuyuki that they are a great leveling place. And using Fresh Fish wich is relatively cheap, light weight and has a good recovery.

Ppl assuming you need exactly what the video shows is what is wrong.

Although I am relatively new, I have been very interested on working to create content videos in iRO showcasing guides, builds, and tips and tricks to help people get around or understand the game better (if they are new to RO overall)

 

My only question here is:

The usage of intellectual property and copyright infringement as described by the USER AGREEMENT when we first log in states you can not use anything in part, whole, partial, text, image or derive anything and that it all belongs to Gravity. Specially all of Paragraph 10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.

So, is there some sort of required approval to make the content videos for iRO?

I just wanna make sure this is clarified before I embark on this journey. Thanks in advance. 

(I am aware that transformative content being fair use, but I really want a clarification from the community regarding all of this JUST to be sure)

i've considered making a series of commented videos already of every instance of the game, showing how to aproach it,- requirements, tips and cheese methods. But then i remember i have a -_-ty mic, am too lazy to revert my jRO sprites, and dont have much free time in general to spend the little i have doing these :v

Lol. Seems to me you have plenty of time to post here everyday and gather attention.

Could use some of that energy for the videos cause you do dig mechanics, numbers and stuff.

GM sucks at making attractive vidz, just saying. If they are great, we will have so many catchy iRo video advertisement already.

 

Saw Warpportal posting RE:Start overview videos on selected 2-2 classes. Not sure if there is advertisment push on it.

 

 

Yeah, this is why the community should make the videos, this is mainly for guides.

 

For advertising, the GMs could have an event that rewards players items or warp portal energy in a contest for high quality advertising videos, but the company does need to invest and have those videos displayed more widely.

 

Hope that the Warpportal management provide incentives (i.e. monetary incentive on promoted/created iRO / WP content) because on pRO there is a provision. Also, they should have a marketing campaign that they can communicate to iRO content creators or streamers (Kinda have a digital marketing background, btw). Apart from the incentive, they provide kafra points as giveaway

 

I wish Munbalanced played on iRO.

 

He's our every RO-tuber's inspiration and peg on creating videos. He's a tough act to follow but I love his content. 

 

There are people who does videos of different classes, but none of them like munbalanced, actually i only recall 3 people who make guides of ro including munbalanced and none of them plays un iRO on that time, The other 2 being alligator (mostly woe rgs guides where he explain in detail how to build and how skill works) and ziu who is an spanish guy who plays on kRO.

You have a lot of people who make videos tho, but most of them are with closed gears or really high end stuff that make things look really easy. I notice that some people even dont like to actually share their knowledge, and thats the main problem. Let alone doing guides and videos, also poor munbalanced has some people who fire at him even tho i think he is doing an amazing job making ro visible.

 

Is slyk still active on RO1 content? Looking forward on his approach on new instances

 

I wish that GM will reward players doing these kinds of videos for new players and display their youtube account name so we can follow it also. that would be awesome, a nice idea.

 

For sharing, I was once tapped by the new pRO to help promote the game locally. Like create gaming content or commentary. Right now they are partnering with streamers which I'm not yet capable of doing as now. WP should decide on their marketing objective. It's also the era of influencers now.

 

I would definitely make guides for newbies. The problem is I'm as ignorant as new players at this point lol

can we get CM astra to do a video guide for newbies? like how to complete the academy quicly(Fuyu did a vid already) all the way to level 100 third jobs, highlight leveling areas and tactics for cheap easy leveling. reading is nice but a video seeing how it's done will be easier for entry level players.

Not to compare but whenever I tweet my iRO youtube content CM Oda glady retweets. Also there was one time that WP shared my YouTube channel on the iRO FB. I was thankful for those last year.
