Interface Design: Kafra Surgeon
June 12 to July 31
The Kafra Service is proud to offer appearance and gender customization through the Kafra Surgeon NPC. To show our thanks for all of the Kafra Service's hard work, we have decided to create a background for the Kafra Surgeon's window! The winning entry will have their artwork immortalized in game as the new background for the customization window.

Entry Instructions
Format: Background Width: 420 ; Background Height: 800
For this event, original digital drawings, traditional media, and edited official concept/in-game art compositions are allowed.
Instructions:
For this event, we are requesting a background only. Other features of the interface, such as font, menu buttons, and icons (noted with yellow borders on the mock-up below), cannot be changed. Your task is to create the new background only.
When submitting your image, please send only a background. The mock-up above is intended to show button placement, and you do not need to provide cut outs. Ideally, the background you create should compliment the existing UI elements.

The Grand Prize winner will be chosen by staff vote. This winner will receive the following prizes in addition to the participation prize.

Participation
Each participant will receive 1x Appearance Change Ticket and 2x Apple of Idun prize boxes.
Please note, to qualify for a participation prize your entry must show a thoughtful level of work. A plain, unedited or minimally edited screenshot or background image that is not related to the game (ie: Solid color, a digitally created pattern, etc.) will not receive the full participation prize and will be sent an Event Random Box. We are trying to be inclusive by making the guidelines open to a variety of styles, and hope that you will show effort in your creations to earn the full participation prize.
Rules
One entry per person. Entry rules:
OK: Drawings you have created with traditional media or digital software are acceptable. Including content from RO2 screenshots in game that you have edited is allowed. 3D renders you have created are also okay if the work is entirely your own creation. Any media that can be presented in a format that fits the required dimensions is acceptable as long as it is your own work.
NOT OK: Any artwork taken from another artist or from media you do not have rights to is not allowed. If you did not draw it, render it, or screen cap it from the game, or obtain it from our officially released art, don’t include it. This extends to backgrounds, wallpapers, 3D renders, and screenshots from other media. Do not include content you have found on google, deviant art, or other sources you do not have rights to, even if you credit the source. The entry must be 100% your own work, with the exception of in game screenshots you've taken.
Entries violating the rules will be disqualified. Entries using artwork that is not their own will be tortured by Idun.
