Yes it is, just RNG can get in your way. I tried to make a +14 Vicious Mind Rod(lv.4 weapon) yesterday, got it after spending 1200 HD Bradiums(the average is around 900-1000, so a little bit unfortunate but not too bad). During this entire time, I've made it to +13 ten times, so Id say its about fine. I was quite unlucky though when trying to make a +13 OBMH, failing to do it with 300 HD Carnium.

 

On a bright note, my Vicious Mind Rod started at +9 and I made it to +10 after spending 8 Safe to 10 Certs, while the average is 11-12, so it aint that bad. At the end of the day, the law of average will come into play. If you use enough huge number of ores, you will find that the success rate gets close to how it is supposed to be on average.

Tried Enriched before. It doesn't seem active to me.

However HD ores are working just fine. Got many gears to +14 from it.

This RNG plays well that +4-5 @ 95% chance of success and it fails twice on 7pcs of Gears aiming to go 9 @ twice!

Is not the same HD Bradium / Carnium than Enriched ones, the 1st time the event coming to iRO, the HD was just fine but enriched ones was not yet on, so many broken gears and GMs realize than enriched was not working, this time can be the same as that day, i dont know since im not upgrading this week.

gosh... you need to refund our gears and ores if the Enrich Chance increase is not active!!! 

been hammering up gears using Enrich and didn't even manage to get +9!!! that was morethan 15 gears already... last week the rates were just fine... i think the enrich rates was reverted back to normal after the last maintenance while HD Carns/Brads still have its Refine Rates Event active

Yesterday i made 6 out of 8 weapons (lvl 3) from +5 to +9 (none made it to +10  ) so i guess it's fine

Broke tons of goggles even when from +4 to +5. The rate is so........

If so many items broke from +4 to +5, something is terribly wrong. Maybe just like the poster above suggested, the Enriched Ores aint working since the last maintenance. But anyway, it has been working for me thus far, as I didnt use breakable refining with Enriched Ores at all. Instead, I used HD ores and safe to 7/10 certs till my weapons/gears reach +10, and beyond that it was working normally according to the increased rate.

Oh yeah, didnt the OP get 2 Mob Scarfs out of 3 OCP VII boxes? I guess this is what we call law of the averages. A few days ago it took me 25 Safe to 10 Certs to make a +10 gear from +9, but after that I got a Cylinder after opening just 3 OCP III boxes from firesale. At the end of the day, it will even out. You get lucky sometimes, so you get unlucky other times.

I remember someone suggesting it, and Campitor saying it would be a good idea, since it's July 4th's week. He didn't officially confirm the extension though.

 

It would be nice if he said anything about this situation asap.

I think he was joking, and the refine event will end after maintenance on Thursday. Of course, if the Enriched Ores refine rate is indeed messed up, they may give us another week as compensation for their human errors. Dont think this will happen though.

I remember that too. Campitor said the event will last until the end of this month but the end of this month is not the same as the regular maintenance.

 

I would be surprised if he just (ambiguously) joked about the extension. Confirmation would be nice.

Well, there is a reason why I've been busy grinding like crazy lately, since I need to refine my Vicious Mind Rods(req lv.160+) before the Refine Event goes away, which is expected to be tomorrow. If this does happen, it proves that I made a correct call on this.
