Greetings Ethergians!  

 

The Requiem team is currently aware that upon log in some players may be affected by an "Login Error 08" error. Please do not be alarmed as you can close the dialogue box or hit "Ok" to continue to log in! If for some reason the error begins to affect your ability to log into game please make sure to head on over to WarpPortal Support and provide as much information as possible (and screenshots if you are able) so that they can search and destroy any issues that may be affecting your log ins  :pif:

 

The team is currently working on resolving this error and we all greatly appreciate your patience while we await more updates  :no1:

I still get the error, and it surely gives a bad look to the game to any eventual new player.

9 months u still cant fix error 08 or old file not found? REALLY!!!! O.O remove the steam -_- add a redirect to warportal http game account creation on game install.

Apologies for the delay in the updates Temperions! The Error 08 has been resolved for the Steam client! Please make sure to uninstall and then re-install the game for the resolution to take effect.

 

Error 08 for the WarpPortal client is still in the works and updates will be posted as soon as they become available! We thank you for your patience!

Finally!!

 

And while y'all are waiting for the WarpPortal client fix, here's something I tried with my own clients. I've wondered about this since I assumed that most (if not all) of the WP's game clients on Steam are the same as the WarpPortal ones, just some additional files maybe for the Steam login handshake thing and the IM/Premium/VIP purchase.

 

Because I have both WarpPortal and Steam clients installed, I tried to copy the UPDATERUSA.exe file from the Steam installation folder to the Gravity installation folder (this was after the instruction to reinstall it to make the Error 08 on the Steam client go away). Behold! Goodbye Error 08 on the WarpPortal client!

 

I don't suggest getting the Steam exe file from someone else. I'd rather spend time and bandwith to download the Steam client and get the exe file from there. Because you know, I don't trust files from someone else.

 

TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

The Error 08 Update error has also now been resolved on the WarpPortal client as well! Again this does require players to uninstall the game, download the new patcher, and then re-install the game. Links to the WarpPortal Download as well as the Requiem Steam Page will be included here for convenience. Thank you again Temperions for your patience!
