Hi all,

I am starting to farm items for my Bard since the archer is ready to make the job change. I would like to know which one is supposed to be the best armor set for them.

I think, right now, I need a buckler, boots and muffler, but I find that the armor is a bit more complicated that how it was back in my days.

Tights are a good option for Weight and probably the way to go if I was a Hunter, but considering its defense and that 1 extra dex is not so relevant anymore, I am considering other options.

Is coat a better choice for the ammount of defense despite the increase ammount of weight? 50vs120.

Is there any other option with good weight and def I should consider?

As a main support bard I will be tanking a lot so I am going into the INT/VIT/Dex build. (I am even considering safety rings as the main accesory for me, but do not know if they are really worth it).

Any tips with this new renewal formulas will be apreciated. Thank you!

Looks like it is exactly what I was looking for!!

Guess not better DEF/Weight ratio for the current state of the game can be found.

Thanks!

Tights[1]=Dex+1 is better option than Formal Suit.

+1 dex is literally nothing, an you're sacrificing a little def and the ability to share with your other characters.

Except def is literally nothing and that 1 dex(which I assume the bard will pump) will save him more stat points.

You can have your +20 Formal Suit and I'll keep my +0 Tights[carded] tyvm

I also remember reading that he's a main "support" bard.

Def is literally nothing. For an archer class, yes, tights is the best option here.

My bard wont have more than 60 Dex I asume since I am support/tank bard.

the question would be:

1 dex VS 13 DEF+20 less weight (1 str)

Actually wrong

1 Dex (assuming 60 as reference) would be 3 str points (assuming 1 str)

Not looking to make damage with my bard, if I get str is mostly for the weight. So 1 dex doesnt allow me to wear any more pots =/

its ok to not go too high on dex for bards. Even with a medium amount of base dex, due to job bonus and Concentration, reaching 100 total dex is pretty easy. (100 is a sweet spot in wich your strings give at least 50% cast time reduction).
Grabbing Int is considerably more important, to increase the cast delay reduction of strings.
