I don't even know why I'm making this thread, I don't even play Alchemist.

Update Page

Patch Notes

Geneticist job improvements will be updated.
(As the Homunculus-related update progresses, the AI folder will be initialized.) (18:59 addition)

- The maximum level of Homunculus is expanded.
→ MaxLv is expanded from 150 to 175.
→ The level of growth capacity per level is adjusted upward according to level expansion.

- Homunculus physical and magic damage formulas are changed, physical and magic damage increases.

- For all skills of Basic Homunculus (Lif, Amistr, Vanilmirth, Filir) The skill will change to cooldown.

- The MaxLV of some Skill of Homunculus S is extended and the balance is adjusted.

①Eira
→ Eraser Cutter: MaxLV is extended (5 → 10) and damage is increased. The wind attribute is changed to no property, and the global cooldown is removed.
→ Geno Slasher: MaxLV is extended (5 → 10) and damage is increased. No attribute is changed to wind attribute, and global cooldown is removed.

② Eleanor
→ Style Change: cast is removed.
→ Sonic Claw: Global cooldown is changed to Skill cooldown.
→ Silvervein Rush: MaxLV expands (5 → 10), increasing damage. Skill cooldown is slightly reduced.
→ Midnight Frenzy: MaxLV expands (5 → 10), increasing damage. Skill cooldown is slightly reduced.

③ Bayeri
→ Angriffs Modus: The evasion rate and defense drop penalty are reduced.
→ Stahl Horn: MaxLV expands (5 → 10), increasing damage. Global cooldown is removed.
→ Heilage Stange: MaxLV is extended (5 → 10), damage is increased. Global cooldown is removed, and the effect range is increased.

④ Sera
→ Pain Killer: MaxLV is extended (5 → 10), casting range is increased to 5 cells.
→ Needle of Paralysis: MaxLV expands (5 → 10), increasing damage. Global cooldown is removed.

⑤ Dieter
→ Pyroclastic: MaxLV is extended (5 → 10) When the state is released, the weapon is no longer damaged.
→ Lava Slide: MaxLV is extended (5 → 10) The maximum range is expanded.

- The way of distributing the Homunculus experience will be changed.
→ The experience value (including the experience of killing experience) acquired by the Homunculus through the battle belongs to the owner character.
→ 10% of experience value acquired by the player character is distributed to the experience value of Homunculus.

- Homunculus automatic feeding function is added.
→ You can activate the function in the Homunculus status UI.

- The Homunculus experience table will be changed.
→ The lower the level required, the lower the required EXP, and the higher the level, the higher the level.

- The battle mode of the Homunculus is changed.
→ "ALT + right-click" allows Homunculus to specify attack target.
→ Homunculus recognizes the designated attack target and begins combat by AI.
→ AI can not proceed to combat against targets not designated as attack targets.
→ If you activate the "ALT + T" or "Standby" function, you can turn off attack targeting at once.

An interesting thing is that Homunculi will now also gain EXP from quests (yep, not only from kills) when you turn them in while they are summoned.

Wait what?

 

The autofeed is totally OK, since that update will remove the ability to afk with your homunculus like you do now: Azzy AI will stop working and Homunculi don't even autoattack stuff on their own anymore.

Finally! kRo deactive the Azzy AI in game.

 

The Autofeed... i think, the mostly have use this.

They just tweaked Shadow Chasers, now Homunculus, and next is Arch Bishop and Performers sooooooooo, pretty safe to say they are buffing everything up before Thirds Rebirth.

what about ranger? totally useless class now, we never rec ranger for bio pt, at least in IRO it is shxty class, not really sure about KRO's ranger

i've seen in another translation that homuns are now affected by lvl penalty on exp received. Any bit on that in the page (on phone '-')

Maybe most classes will be buffed, but I have a feeling that mage classes especially warlock will be nerfed, as they did against wizard's fire pillar and warlock's frost misty.

Not useless, just not really relevant outside of MVPing.

 

Our damage is -_- in WoE since most people roll a lot of reduction which bypasses even the benefits of say... MoT Card.

 

However for MVPing, we can still be mighty useful. Aimed Bolt still wrecks things, Auto Warger just got a buff thanks to the Bio5 Hat and Arrow Storm is still k, just not great when compared to other classes.

dude, ranger's dmg is a joke without unlimited, it can only catch up other classes with top gears like MOT card + unlimited, gene gx wl can do 1m dmg/s ezly now, even wandy and string can do higher dmg than ranger, it is totally useless.  

Arrow storm? totally useless compare to cannon cart, connon cars can do more dmg for each short and gene can spam it.

aimed bolt? totally useless compare to no cast acid bomb.

Trap is totally a joke also.

It's not a joke at all, it's just difficult to compare to other classes that have been buffed hard by the OCP (GX excluded). None of the skills are useless PVM wise, just not as efficient but still more than enough to kill -_-.

 

As for Aimed Bolt, it depends on the conditions, but if you can get off at least 2 Aimed Bolt per second then you will outdo a no cast AB, I was doing 900k to Valkyrie Randgris, and that was without any defense bypass gears, if I had that a single AB would do 1.35m damage, which means that would be awesome.

 

Auto Wargers do a lot less damage than most things, but they still have some advantages (for example, they can kill Ifrit more efficiently than a Gene can).

 

I am not saying some of these classes aren't stronger, but that Ranger still is good. Gene has the best of ALL worlds, Locks have had a -_- tonne of love from OCP, GX has always been a strong burst damage dealer, and yes, for leveling Wandy and Stringer do a -_- tonne of damage, but MVP wise you can outdo them as a Ranger).

 

Traps are far from a joke if you know how to use them correctly.

Could be on the update page, I'm not seeing anything to that effect on the patch notes according to Google Translate. If anyone who knows Korean could translate the updates page (since it's an image), that'd be great.

Could be on the update page, I'm not seeing anything to that effect on the patch notes according to Google Translate. If anyone who knows Korean could translate the updates page (since it's an image), that'd be great.

 

In update page. It say homunculus will receive 10% of final exp that owner receive. That means homunculus suffer exp penalty through their owner.
