Subject title should very much well describe what this thread is about.

 

Hello everyone. As you all know, the Aeternum server was recently released to the public, and as stated clearly here, the server is on its Alpha Testing Phase. This means that bugs, issues, and problems will appear. These kinks will be addressed as the server exits Alpha phase towards Beta, and then more later on when it exits Beta phase. Most of the features and content you are used to in Trifri may also not be present on the new server at this time. Please keep in mind that everything, and I mean everything in Aeternum is in testing phase. And as a reminder, there will be expected wipes during Alpha, and possibly during Beta as well.

 

If you find something that you believe to be a bug that need to be squished, list them here. Feedback and suggestions are welcome. Please keep it as constructive as possible. Negative feedback and unrelated comments will be moderated if it goes against the forum posting rules. The rules are on my signature, feel free to review them.

Moving forward, all previous threads created with the purpose of giving feedback to the new server will be locked. Kindly re-post them on this thread. Let's try to keep things as organized as possible. All new threads created about Aeternum while it is in Alpha and Beta will be deleted or locked without warning.

 

A separate but similar thread will be created when Aeternum enters Beta Phase.

A separate thread will be created (or perhaps the old one updated) for Trifri issues.

 

Also, for those who like to use red text in posts, please use a different color. Red text is reserved for use by Admins, Staff, CMs, and Mods.

I have my doubts any of this will actually be considered by helium, so far he proved that he does the opposite of what players suggest or he does whatever goes in his head. Already the fact that he asks VM to do such an important topic, and not him directly as a professional developer that cares of his game would do and is expected to do, proves me right.

It's actually amazing how all players, or at least most part, is asking for the changes I wrote below but he keep on avoiding and giving replies that make no sense, like : when the below items (that no1 wants) will be released on aeternum, everything on trifri will be nerfed, but I am 100% sure he will never do that. He just didn't know what to reply to such a clear question that decide if this server will be hardcore or a Trifri 2.0, he didn't know what to do, and he still doesn't.

 

Feedback/Suggestion : 

 

In regarding to items like : "regals, resonating artifacts, vox enchants, maregall sets, darkest sets, Hearts of xmas" (and I would also add titan and MDC stuff), it's silly how Helium keep on saying everytime :

 

"They won't be around for long time anyway".

In last streaming, everytime someone was asking about such items he would reply "they won't be around for long time and it will take time for aeternum to keep up".

 

The thing is : 

 

WE DON'T WANT THOSE ITEMS ON NEW SERVER IF IT'S TRULY HARDCORE.

 

I don't care of anything else till he will actually say "those items won't be around at all on new server".  If I don't hear that, I won't give a chance to this server. It would be terrible if the server start hardcore, I put time in it, and then this broken items appear and it becomes Trifri 2.0.

i personaly just wanna see an hardcore server instead of an exact copy of trifri 

 

​why are we fighting with the Aeternum server against trifri server in battlefields to begin with ?

 

​1) they got primordial 

​2) regals 

3) darkest 

​4) all we dont have

 

​also when you guys actualy launch the real server

 

​1) dont combine battlefields

2) no level jumps

​3) same reinforce system as now atm

​5) no darkest

​6) no MDC weapons 

​7) i think the exp from thame battlefield / the golems from premium dungeon gives too much exp ​lower it by 50% atleast!

​8) no voxion enchants

9) an clear level cap

​Ideas which would be good 

 

​1) years ago helium told us he would ever add legendary weapons into the game 

​an suggestion make an compound formule of 10 shards which has an LOW drop rate  which you can

​change gutters dungeon back to prison workshop open ruins of lamands make players spawn in ( kurt ) instead of nova lux 

​lower the drop rate of items at haunted mine its too OP which makes it less hardcore + it can create eco failiures

 

​3) bring the old possession beast skills back

 

​4) open nightmare crescent 

 

​5) bring back the old possession beast quest which was located in zakate

​instead of getting it instant at level 1 o.o its like you achieve getting somthing OPs without doing somthing

​its pretty retarded to be onest

 

​6) never (ever) add 40% HP sealed or anything at the new server > rly dont do it <

 

​7) add new foc gears or change the appearance :D

 

​8) look no1 is ever gonna buy this transmogrify -_- so why dont add it as an PK reward or Battlefield reward weekly 

 

​9) everyone knows the shop which is selling the Ancient Point reduce item right?

Bugs:

-Theres no a Gate Master npc at Kurt Village

-Theres a monster on Prision Mine Dungeon (Turba) that respawns every 1 seccond. the monster is allocated near the exit at the end of the dungeon is called Cannibal Monster.
-Academic Collaboration (3): you need to deliver this quest to Gate Master Shena, but shes not in the location. (Nova Lux gate master has been changed for another one called Phobos.)
-Some rocks/stone on Ruins of Laments are Bugged (quest trigger, i dont remember exactly the name of the quest but you cant grab them.) - old issue since like 2-3 years.
-Skill descriptions Are still not understable needs a fix, also hunter, avenger bombs doenst have dmg value on the description.
-E
veryone who was lvl 50+ on the new server if they kill any mob and get at least 1 exp theyre prompted to lvl 90 instantly... meanwhile, any char lvl 49 are capped at 49..
 
Suggestions:
-
Content till erunil update + add Valdes and nerf exp/drop there. (Maybe, that set inst broken also is really hard to get good rolls and set parts.) NO MORE.
-Remove all Rewards Froms Battlefield and foc and lunch them when the lvl cap increases: Example, Foc Sets Till Foc Frezia. TBF Weapons Till lvl 40. SVS equipament till lvl 49.
-Remove Hunted Mine, and El-Rima Prision mobs that drops a lot o red Xeons
-Remove Temperions Way quest line, so easy to get at nova lux and lvl 30 with those quest, is a rush lvl up that we dont need/want.
-Events Like Pog and Foil Drops Are verry Welcome again on this server.
-Do not give us a lvl 69-79-89 jump.
-Events should stay 1 week or 5 days, not the whole month.
-Do not add Su
mmon Temperions Like Brianna and Juliana. Change Lyle name to: Summon Temperion Mercenary: Lyle.
-Some npc's have diffrent faces/haistyles that we as player cant use, can we get them? no matter if they are paid mall items o what.
-Can we get more different guild logos?
-Do not Add lvl 69 and lvl 89 Dungeons.

Feedback:
-we dont want: regals, resonating artifacts, vox enchants, maregall sets, darkest sets, Hearts of xmax, Titan Ruinhorn, Mythic DoomCheras, Primordial Briskra.
-what we want: a HARDCORE server. with pve/pve enjoyment.
-moneymaking is so easy right now on alpha server, just do some TBF fights claim ponts and lant, and buy Frozen token commpression and sell tokens at 50k each at any npc to get absurdly ammmount of  lants.
-Nerf the drop at The Gutters Bosses by Removing the Bony equipament and Jewelry, we already have Bonyhook at Chastle Sanctum.
-Elementalist would be a thing in ths server with the phobias/debuff arround...

Yes, sonemere. There will be wipes, not just a rollback. It is stated here. Kindly read it through. The server is open to the public despite its Alpha status, so that players can experience the server in its growth and ironing stage, so to speak, and be able to provide feedback and suggestions, as what this thread is for.

 

While most games in Alpha stage, even Beta, are not open to the public (called Closed Alpha and Closed Beta respectively), it entirely depends on the game's developer on how much player input is welcomed during these stages, and considered towards the commercial launch of the game. Simply put, the developer may want as much player input as possible. I believe that this is the reason the server is open to the public despite being in Alpha. This is also why it is important to be able to provide constructive feedback during this time.

These are some of my observations and concerns about current alpha and future beta as well as some suggestions for what should be changed or removed… But first some credibility. I’ve spent the better part of my days since the release of alpha playing the game. I’ve talked to many people through out this time, in and out of game to get to the bottom of every bug and exploit. I also played hard like everyone else and am all finished at level 49 all buffed out with gear. Now the first few days where excellent. It was truly a lot of fun, massing a lowbie party and smashing through the game at somewhat of a disadvantage. It wasn’t hard, by my standards. It could have been better. The final days have turned bitter dead, and I don’t think this is just because of the impending deletion of our characters. Here is a listing of the rest of my thoughts from here out:

 

  • In battlefield there is a min level limit to capture flags in some instances, such as Union, probably strongest as well. If Aeternum characters are going to be capped at 49 you must remove this cap on flag capture, so we can support the win condition of capturing the flag. Otherwise can you blame us for farming? Yes, farming will be a thing unless you do something about it. I have nothing more to add on the issue of battlefield farming we all know of its existence and problems.

 

  • Another problem with battlefield, there is no server vs server yet, but we all join the same FOC. This is terrible idea. No newbies should be starting on Trifri server, so we shouldn’t cater for their need to go FOC. Primordial Biskra with max sigils and +30 is too strong for 24 and 49 FOC. Please separate the servers FOC battles. This is broken.

 

  • People make the most lant by farming Theme reward lant and points to afford first Frozen compression token. With the lant to reduce it they lose 500k lant or so. It takes 3-4 battlefields. They reduce item into tokens. It is not a surprise to get +50 tokens. Each sell for 50k pp. 50 of those is 2.5kk. That’s an easy 5 times return and after this it gets easier because your rich. You now just farm points and make a few quick 10kks. Farm, sell, battlefield lant, login rewards and lottery spin are the other lesser ways to make lant. Now the jack pot on the lottery is 1kk. This is rare and should feel awesome to get on the new server. It would be great reward day 1 but it means little after a few days. Tokens devalue every other method of farming in this game. A couple k here and there for quests and items and bad luck. People should have to rightfully farm to get lant to + there gear and buy and sell for profit. AH in alpha has been really high and low. It wouldn’t be either if you remove tokens. At least reduce the sell value of tokens from 50k pp to 10-15kpp. If people farm battle field for lant they should pick 150k lant reward not points to exploit some item. Broken, yes?

 

  • Zakate? Need I say more. Btw remove Christmas trees, the lol is over. Broken.

 

  • You said no break rate? Well nothing has yet broken for me with reinforce or enchant but if I fail a compound I lose all. It broke. :’(

 

  • Early game freebies: The usual free giveaways 500hp/mp costume, 60% mount, exp10%, 20npc teleport, 10aed. If we really are going to make this game “Hardcore” remove some of these freebies. The mount, aeds, exp and teleport items could stay. They are helpful but at least take away the costume. It’d be hardcore to die before level 10 or something because you only have 50 HP (<estimate guess) level 1 instead of 550. We are practically 11 times less likely to die with a costume on. It’d be nice to get held back a few days longer in the first week because of death in Turba. Parties for days.

 

  • Just going further on the last point. It did feel a little too easy. It was only a few days, and someone got to 61. It might take a week or more to hit 49 if you can make the game harder. Just please don’t break it. For instance: This level 90 problem in Aeternum right now.
  • It works for keeping us below level 49, I can attest to that, but everyone who was above 50 are now 90. The level 90 players can’t farm but are a little too op in GvG. Sorry, but this is most broken. Can’t GvG a bunch of 90 players. We should all be enjoying the last days of alpha fighting GvG.

 

  • RoL, AT, Zakate and Chaste Sanctum. Can we have them all please in Beta launch? Unless, of course they are broken. In which case release them when you can fix them. The game feels empty without them.

Yes, thank you. I'm going over forums from oldest to newest and I'm just finding the latest forums now. Thankfully a lot of other players have been talking about the same issues and more. It appears we all want the same thing in regards to the server not being Trifri 2.0, and instread, a unique, hardcore server.

 

I will get to repost and try to find more ideas to add.

The Item Mall will have a limited selection compared with Trifri but items will be available.

Feedback and Suggestions are very important^^ you can hear that in every Stream...

 

But you have Feedback and Suggestions from nearly 10 Years already. It has not changed much. The Critic is still the same.

 

Anyways...Helium your Answers are not convincing.

 

It`s rather sure for me now, that "Aternum" turn out like your last Masterpiece: Trifri^^.

 

So was Fun Guys this gonna be my last Post.

Just base the new server off of s1... same quest syatem and everything. That would vring alot of old players back that actually enjoyed the game when it was great

I would say get on with the beta, but I fear the perfect new server creation would be hindered by rushing. Still, we're all bored and waiting I'm sure to hear about the next developement of Aeternum server. Helium, please can we get an idea of when the beta will be released? I'm dieing for roll-back.

Btw if you remove Haunted Mine, as players have been suggesting, there is a mob in turba that gives the same drops. I do think the game should be made harder by removing easy farm options for enchants. Mob is just outside Prisoner's Labor Camp, called Worshop Minor.
