Hello~ I need some advice from other sage/scholar players. I'm wanting to make a hindsight build but there's sooo little info to actually go on with this. It's all outdated or doesn't have to do with the Restart server. (I realize this build is silly in the long run, but there's something about melee wizards I love.)

Basically I have around 900mil to pour into making this guy a beast but don't know what would be most beneficial to his dps. Do I focus on getting the Owl card set or Counter dagger? To clarify, it will be PvM only. I don't really understand WoE...

Nothing to much to say about it ,owl combo is nice, but any hindsight built kinda laggs Soul Link to get a decent damage output, beside that aspd is pretty bad aswell , would all be a different story if there was CD Mount/Valmir head on this server or Elemental Sword was equiptable by Scholar. Soo anyway for autocast i would advice to rebirth first since the aspd base mod of Scholar is a lot higher than sages, besided that Double Bolt is a great addition to hindsight.

Oh alright ty! I haven't played in months so this'll give me something to shoot for ^_^ Have any of the major group leveling maps changed?

I would actually recommend Sage's Diary over Counter Dagger tbh. My hindsight scholar is currently 77 I think. The increase in matk is really needed from the Sage's diary to have a lasting impact. Although you can cut dex out of your build completely with Sage's Diary, you only need 30 to 40. Also, Soul linker is coming out in 2 months which will give us the ability to cast lvl 10 bolt on each hindsight proc. That matk is going to really come in handy.

 

Another side note is, your skill called "Double Bolt" procs on the lightning bolt from the Owl Card Set.

 

To give you a good example of that im currently using, its more than 900m but its been damn fun so far.

 

Headgear: +7 Snake Head [1] (uncarded but i'll put something in there eventually, mainly used for double attack)

Mid  Headgear: Robo Eyes (it doesn't really matter tbh)

Lower Headgear: Angry Snarl (doesnt matter)

Body: +7 Coat [1] (usually elemental resist or Porcellio card for extra atk)

Right Hand: Sage's Diary[2] (With 50 Base str and 70 base int, you get 5% increased aspd and 5% matk) I also have a cecil demon card (+5% aspd, -30 hit) and hatii bebe card (Frost Driver lvl 3 on auto attack)

Left Hand: usually nothing to increase aspd

Robe: +9 Ninetail card Increase agility Amistr bag

Shoes: Matry shoes

Accessory: Owl card set

Wow more than 900.. I mean I've been saving up so a little more shouldn't be that bad ×_×. How would you recommend leveling? Bolt sage first since it's faster? If so can you give me some info on where to level :c I really only played rogues till now.

Bolt Sage first makes your life a little bit easier, you can go up to lv 85 more or less easy and fast for clocks and alarms, after that it gets tedious if you feel comfortable, anolians and sting might work well enough or high orcs. Most likely leech from 84+ to 99 on bio2 might be a recommendet option.
