So aside from item reinforcement being a ripoff, the reinforcement compound doesn't even seem to be working right now. 

 

 

 

Here is the reinforcement compound which allegedly increases the success rate by 5%:

 

 

Here is the success rate with and without the item:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As you see, no difference in success. I tried with different items too. The strange thing is, the 5% bonus seemed to be working yesterday.
