Returning player here, i have tried to read & compare both jobs but i hav not make any concusion. My zeny is limited to 1b max and i prefer to spend as low as i could.
So, to pros out there, help me choose. I know MS sura is basic. While I also read all doram skills also decent. I have seen a video of doram tanking ifrit.
Purpose is general MVP tanking for my damage dealer job.
p/s: if possible, state your build & gears suggestions too.

Sura imo. With mental str you just need an alice / deviling in most cases.

go for tank doram, is absolutely insane if you manage your skills correctly, sura is a pain in the ass to level and need a lot of stuff to sustain like doram.
PS: Doram is kinda of a drag to level as well, but it pays off better i think.

do you know any tank doram guide? from skill set research i more or less understand how it works, but prefer tested build if possible.

Definitely go with Sura if you're tanking for your alt. Doram is nice, but won't be able to tank some MVPs unless you're playing it actively whereas you can tab without worry on a Sura. As for Dispel, try to get a +9 Glorious Fist and you should be able to recast it as long as you're geared properly (Holy armor, Alice shield).

Stoop is like a worse mental strength. And if you are going Tuna build for the heals and shields, you might as well use those on a real tank... like a sura.

like doram will ur life when mvp does earthquake?
