A lot of people have been interested in using their PC gamepads with Dragon Saga but have been having some trouble tweaking it to their liking. We have gone ahead and compiled a quick little guide to help get you started.

We hope this helps you out and that you thoroughly enjoy that old-school beat'em up feel you get by playing that old Dragon Saga with a nice little custom-configured gamepad!

That plus default gamepad settings work well.
But when it comes down to it if i'm truly in peril i just use Joy2Key.
its much faster and efficient in making profiles
less taxing too
I think that Xpadder wants money now so i stoppped using their thing in addition to it being finnicky

I've tried using both xpadder and Joy2Key and I'm having a bit of difficulty getting them to work.
When I set my keys on the program (xpadder and Joy2Key) and launch Dragon Saga, the Macro (O) screen keeps popping up when I press my joystick buttons. I read on the guide that I should assign a key to the Dragon Saga Pad setup and promptly remove it. I pressed configure for the Up button, set it as my up joystick directional key, configure it again and Delete the assignment. When I click okay, the game will not recognize my joystick at all.
I don't know if this is clear, but ask me if you want to know more.
Edit: Oh, I just read more into the forum and I see that other people are having the same problem. o_O

what about the xbox 360 controller, i cant seem to get them to work with Dragon Saga, the game wont recognize the controller.
EDIT: its wireless btw, would that still work?
If it's anything like other PC games, there still needs to be a USB connection to make it work. Microsoft does sell a wired attachment for wireless remotes (the ones I see come bundled with a rechargable battery).
Hope that helps!

so u mean, i still have to wired the gamepad? well that just killed the point of being wireless.
besides, i bought the microsoft xbox 360 wireless controller for windows.
inside the box i got a receiver and the gamepad itself.
theres no wired usb to the gamepad..
oh and, the CD for the installer thingy..
i did all the steps from the instructions that they gave me, but the game, dragon saga, still wont respond to the wireless, says cannot find the game controller.
also, i have this game called Pro Evolution Soccer, it used a controller also, and then, when the game (PES) is still running, i opened dragon saga, and suddenly the controller works...
but when i turned off the game (PES), dragon saga wont recognize the gamepad again.
so right now i dunno what to do and i feel like i just wasted about $60 on the controller.
