IRO1 Classic Weekly Maintenance

February 7th, 2:00PM - 6:00PM PST

 

 

 

Events

  • Weather: The snow storms clear up and the normal weather returns!

Quests

  • The next new Headgear quest, the Bf Recruiter Hat (Tier 1), is available. Speak to Frank in Morocc (who has his own tent at 118, 93). Certificates can be found in the treasure caches.
    • To create this headgear you'll need the following:
      • 100 Pieces of Black Cloth
      • 50 Ectoplasm
      • 25 Oil Paper
      • 5 Slick Paper
      • 1 Bf Recruiter Hat Certificate

  • The spotlight changes to the Clocktower! The next spotlight change will be community choice. One vote per player, feel free to vote at any time!

At least try to do the changes for what the members are demanding, The server is having hardly 100-200 population for woe timings (which includes vendors, alt's, bots) server having 100 active players for woe with 20 castle's really makes no sense. We hardly get any action for woes, its like last 2mins everyone breaks the emp and logs out. How about opening random castle's every week, For 1.0 woe, either keep prontera, geffen, payon or aldebran castles open (any 1 of them) which will give us 5 castles to play with every week. Sounds pretty comfortable for everyone, 5 castles for 100 active players? People will have more action and more reason to login before woe starts till the end of it. God piece's wont be so easily available to last minute breakers? We are losing the 1.0 woe action from years, hardly any fun available. Please try to understand and rotate the castle opening every week to encourage good woe fights. Don't ignore for what members are demanding again and again or it will result in complete dead server which we are not aiming for. Hope you guys are trying to save the server and not planning it to die as soon as possible.

Looks like test of rune knight job quest is bugged. I'm talking to Lunarea since server is open and everytime I talk to her, she says that has another person on the test.

Which server? Classic doesn't have Rune Knights.

You are part of the problem. We are always defending a castle since no one else does. When there is no action I leave guild and attack our own defense, so yeah reducing castle just makes it easier for us not to let you have any castles. You already have to wait last minute to break or else you lose it.

 

BTW interesting choice of spotlight map. Are there even bots in the clocktower?

You are part of the problem. We are always defending a castle since no one else does. When there is no action I leave guild and attack our own defense, so yeah reducing castle just makes it easier for us not to let you have any castles. You already have to wait last minute to break or else you lose it.

I don't even want castle being honest, am least bothered for winning or losing any castle, all i want is 'WAR'. You leave your own guild and attack for action? proves how dumb you are and how bad the server is dead, since your guild is defending, 19 castle's are empty at the same time? I don't mind if they reduce the castle to just 1 and its only your own guild defending and i/we lose and your guild wins, the point is, there will be some reason to play woe 1.0 for whole 2 hours.

Suggestions to improve gameplay due to low population, concurrency and similarity on the LOKI - Classic server.
 

Suggestion 1_____Woe 1.0 - Decrease of castles.
- Due to the low server population, and active players in War 1.0, I suggest lowering the number of castles per feud, to 3 in each feud.

Suggestion 2_____Woe 1.0 - Prohibition of gods items and MVP cards.
- To try to attract new clans to War 1.0, remove the items gods and mvp-cards from the war, making it more equate, thus attracting new players to return to play.

Suggestion 3_____Enable PVP in all MVP's maps.
- Making mvp hunting an even more difficult dispute, perhaps, stimulating players to re-hunt mvp's in time due to the difficulty of being pvp map.

PVP on MVP will only benefit players that already have good gears, since they just have to kill eveyone on the map to have an monopoly on the MVP.

Fewer castles will only benefit players that already have good gears, since they just have to defend one castle to keep their monopoly on god pieces and god creation.

 

Classic Loki is already monopolized, more monopoly WON'T make things better.

Hello Friend.
 
Basically mimic tier 3 you will find in strong maps such as Thor, Bio, GH, etc.
Tier 2: normal maps, above lvl 40 ~
tier1: noob maps, lvl 40 and less
 
I think you can rely more or less on that.

 

PVP on MVP will only benefit players that already have good gears, since they just have to kill eveyone on the map to have an monopoly on the MVP.

Fewer castles will only benefit players that already have good gears, since they just have to defend one castle to keep their monopoly on god pieces and god creation.

 

Classic Loki is already monopolized, more monopoly WON'T make things better.

 

Okay, let's talk about it.
 
And what do you suggest, for War 1.0, we're just talking about War 1.0, to make it more competitive and real war? For me, a war in Ragnarok are guilds attacking and guilds defending castles, no matter what you think about monopolization, the game was based on you to have a guild and invade castles and conquer them instead of entering the last 2 minutes finals to conquer empty castles. What is your opinion to solve this problem?
 
About PVP and MVP.
What is your opinion to improve the dynamics of the game to kill mvp's and pvp?
Sometimes I'm there, killing my mvp, and a new person arrives trying to kill mvp, and loses. What if that person had killed me? Would not that be interesting? She to kill me because she arrived by surprise, still managed to kill the mvp, even though not having many equipment, all due to the surprise effect. How do you disagree with this, can you share your suggestion to intensify and attract people to kill more mvp's and play pvp?

About War 1.0: I do think your first idea is very good, disabling MVP cards and God Items would put old players and newcomers on the same ground. Fair unmonopolized wars would bring new players.

For me this idea is just absurd. Makes no sense to put PVP on Ant-hell, or culvert level 4, or many other maps... People don't go to this maps just to kill the MVP's.

yeaaaahhhhh........  this server is just plain boring now. Anyone who still plays RO classic has probably been playing it for more than a decade now so if you want to peak peoples interest and get the players back you need to do something drastic to bring people back. My personal suggestion would be to make EVERY MAP PVP EXCEPT TOWNS. seriously a lot of people are gonna hate on this but i bet it would bring tons of people back. Call it ClassicPVP :ok:  obviously we would need to do something to protect noobies maybe have it so that you have to be within 20 levels to attack eachother idk. who cares if it doesnt work the server is just going to die anyway so are you going to defibrillate it or just watch it die a slow painful death? i mean common is a Bf Recruiter Hat added to the cache really going to bring players back? :yawn:

 

 

 

 

ps ive played on many different servers with this exact problem and watched all of them die and the admins did nothing to stop it such a shame

 

pps:if you're a noobie and a player is chasing you down just use a fly wing. problem solved. any noob can afford fly wings. avoid them the same way you avoid monsters you cant kill

Seriously now. Looking at this side, really this is true, there are maps of pvm in maps mvp, and this would make it difficult for new players. I would suggest, as the other friend said, something related to havocating pvp only for certain lvl's, but that would become very difficult for Warpportal, since small changes they do not, so imagine a more drastic change.
 
In relation to Woe, I still advocate the idea of diminishing some castles, as I said, I do not think there is any kind of monopoly in woe 1.0, it is necessary to decrease the quantity of castles so that there is ACTION in the wars, and after the population of the server increase, it turns up the normal amount of castles.

I see wars 1.0 are dead, my idea would be to put wars 1.0 without being able to use items Gods, cards MVPS and Mini Boss, this would greatly encourage those who already play here, and who does not play more, bringing more people to the server.

Suggestion 1 is good but i would say each town castle evry woe luina1 brit1 valk1 balder1 then disable the rest.. following week luina2 brit2 etc... suggestion 2 and 3 are both trash btw this is classic not private server lol

lowering the castles for 1.0 woe is much needed, but the staff is least bothered to implement the changes.
