Because that does not protect from "Greed" skill. It circumvents all restrictions which is why so many thieves, bots and players alike, use it all day every day, especially during these kinds of events. The mods just need to alter the data files for the ksill so that ownership applies to the killer of monsters for longer time and change greeds ability to cheat the system.

im pretty sure i remember being in my own party a whole bunch of times with both the 2nd and 3rd options set to take/individual and seeing people still try to greed my loot but not be able to for about 10-20 seconds. i know for sure there's a window because i have countless memories of random people spamming greed over my loot like idiots and still not being able to get to it since i had those options checked.

the only way this wouldnt still be applicable is if the coding for it was somehow altered with any one of the various patch notes we've had since i last had one of those experiences. could've also happened during the new UI party window maint. been a while though since i even ran into anyone that dick. every time i've been down in low ti, most people just walk by. juperos same thing.

I think what they meant for "humanoid" is player-enemies and pvp scenario. Pirate skeletons still drop tokens normally actually. If they didn't, then sunken ship would be bad for token farming since those are around more than half the monster population there.

And there's already an item-ownership protection timer in play. It's effective and it prevents other players from manual-clicking or greed-ing your loot, but the duration lasts only a couple of seconds so you need to be fast.

I also manually click to pick up tokens on some of my lower-weight capacity characters too btw. But it always helps to bring a heroic backpack just in case (for going against kukres and players).

reading all these comments brought me to the conclusion that the rates are definitely different per player....some players are getting dozens in little time while others are barely even seeing 1 or 2....obviously the ones who don't see the problem are the ones that who are getting the drops consistently....but whatever I doubt it'll get addressed so...the hell with it lol !@#$ it

If the current drop rate is the same as when the event ended last time (2-3% ?) then the rate is good enough.

The key here is your kill rate.

The more monsters you can kill in a certain amount of time, the more drop chances you roll for tokens.
Spoiler Example

Edit: I wouldn't mind if the drop rate was higher tho haha

i feel like monster type affects the drop. but thats just me. maybe i'm just unlucky on some places.

however, running magma dun nets me more tokens easily than running juperos. i tried both maps and magma has easier drop rates. and juperos is pretty mobby but the drop is not good.

also tried a bunch of other maps to check for my sorc/sura. sunken ship has the best rate on low lvl dungeons. tried orcs and the drop rate is horrendous. culverts thief bugs are just ok. maybe if the spawn rate is higher it might be a better map. they drop frequently, just not enough mobs.

this is all just personal testing though. not sure how the actual invisible gear works.

10-20 minutes per character is enough. Players should be thankful were getting free refine event, years ago, having to refine a +10 equip is a huge pain in the ass.

i've seen as many as 3 drop from one mob. but token drop depends on mob size. mob size depends on how often you flywing, your ability to run and "mob" monsters, and how many players are there. how many players are there depends on time of day, etc etc. a lot of variables to consider if we're actually breaking this down.

70ish tokens from like 1500~1700 kills, just casually doing non vip ti, not counting the ones from ppl that leave them on the ground.

it's an invisible piece of gear equipped on all characters than enable the item drop on kill, like a Myst Case card. The rates are what is set there and thats it.

Funny theres still people that believe that anyone should be able to spam kill thousands in under 20 minutes and its enough per character to get the tokens. *smfh * Tragically Hilarious. Indeed it is what it is, and though the intention is good and the event in theory is a nice gesture, nothing works the same for everybody. Even if lots of players are also having too much difficulty with an event...At this point I have given up on anything being done regarding the item pickup timer, thieving, crummy drop rate, etc. I am just going to say **** RNG lol

RNG , you won again! lol
*imagine meme here, because I cant figure out how to put one in *

Plus though I am not hating on the mods, because its not easy running an mmo, I am mostly on the players side of things, and at least the event has worked "well..." for some. In THAT perspective, I suppose, its improved since the last two times in happened fer sure. But I musth ave a bugged file, because party drop rules dont seem to save me from thieves, so...*shrug * . But its the summer time, so its high time to start carrousing and toasting to real life! AWay with ye online games, for a time! lol :P

This was from previous time monster tokens were implemented:

InFXetw.png

When you compare maps, you should also consider the size and monster density.
Orc Village/Dungeon are both good spots but they also make you walk around more, making you spend more time to pull mobs, and making it seem like the drop rate is less when it's actually the same.

Regarding juperos, the monster distribution there isn't as dense as magma dungeon, but they have faster aspd and can be annoying to deal with in a mob (multiple elements, longer attack range). This added difficulty there makes it seem like you're fighting more monsters than you actually are, which can be less than what you encounter in other maps.

Juperos mob isnt mobby enough. Havent tried Nogg and Sunken yet. Doing Low ti doing gramp quest 2 times got me between 50-70token, on a very good day 80token (like just after maintenance where you got allthe mobto yourself and can go ham)

technically you dont have to kill thousands of monsters in a few minutes to make use of it. You have 20+ hours to gather 50 tokens, if you get 2~3 per hour you are already set to the other day, now if you are not getting this you are just not killing stufd lol

making memes will not make you right, rag is an old game and most players are adults with things to do besides playing, and in the short time they have to play they have to choose between dropping, leveling or making instances.

One could get the tokens too while leveling. It's not like it's a must to get 50 tokens per day. If one can only manage 25/30 per day, can refine once every 2 days....
