My ranger can't hit the MVP at malangdo with AS, and my auto attacks deal 1 dmg to it. is this a bug? or is this MVP limited to certain classes only? it is really difficult to get to the boss stage at hard mode and you get this.

Mutant is magic immunity

Violent is physical immunity

Gen is an answer to this. CC is both physical and magical.

To be elaborate. There are 3 types of damage according to KRO mention.
- Physical
- Magical
- Special

AB and some other skills such as Soul Destroyer is special type.
So the skill damage will bypass either physical or magical immunity.

Justice was alwasy right when WoE was a thing. No WoE, then Justice's not needed anymore. Unless you wanna come WoE and prove Justice wrong lol

Wait, so AB and SD are considered Special type? What about Grand cross? Last time I tried, it's Magic but the way damage is calculated is rather awkward ie. It's a range skill, converters works, etc

aww man. I feel cheated the first time i learned about it as well. You can't clear every content in this game unless you're a genie.

I could be wrong. but having matk in the formula doesn't necessarily mean the skill is magical. how i understand it, special type is physical attack that ignores flee but still is affected by safety wall or pneuma & range reduction. it also treat hard def (& mdef?) as soft def/mdef. Some skills may have matk in the formula, but since the final damage isn't magical, it's not affected by %matk bonus, gtb, or maya card. i think grand cross fit those criteria so it's special type. Gfist also fits those critera but is it special type as well? idk.

I believe special type is also affected by target's element twice, the atk part at least. First the atk is multiplied by your weapon element (neutral if it's unendowable like Gfist) vs enemy element mod then the final damage is multiplied by the skill element vs enemy element mod. Try using grand cross vs shadow/undead with and without aspersio. You'll see that the damage is higher when you have aspersio. Abt 2 yrs ag I tested gfist vs ghostring and the number shows that it's being reduced much higher than 30%. I don't know if the same thing applies to AB and SD.

Anyone rebel expert here? I wonder if binding trap will work against violent coelacanth and bosses in general. If it does, they will make great alts for my solo instance run.

I only confirm that AB and Soul Destroyer are special type.
Not sure if other Atk/Matk hybrid skills are special type too.
AFAIK the rest of hybrid skills are Grand Cross, Stave Crasher, Varetyr Spear, Genesis Ray, Reverberation.

I got the test results now.
Reverberation, Varetyr Spear, Grand Cross : deal 1 dmg to Mutant = magical type.
Stave Crasher : deal 1 dmg to Violent = physical type.
Genesis Ray : miss on Violent (because the skill dmg display is split hit) = physical type.

So only AB and Soul Destroyer are special type skills AFAIK.

Yeah RG is kind of ... semi blessed that he can also do Seagods since GC is Magic. Though it's kind of wasting to kill Violent fish with GC hahaha

iRO should get RoG update soon to make it Magic :D
