I recently  came back to the game and found this word on new item sets

 

Set Malus .... its my understanding that it is the opposite of bonus meaning its a negative / bad effect

 

 

when the item description clearly says  hero manteau has set malus which disables the neutral damage reduction effect of DR card ... why do i keep seeing people  with  deviant hero manteau ?

 

Is there something I am missing essentially ?

 

that the set malus does not apply if the item is +10 ? or something ?
