Attention all Current/Former DEM Members (or anyone looking for a guild to join)!

Deus Ex Machina has been in a slump lately and taking a break from WoE. The old members have 99/70ed all of their characters and have done every quest and instance hundreds of times already. They are bored and have mostly moved on to other games. Any newer members we might recruit usually see a mostly dead guild with no one in their level range and no parties to be had. They quickly lose interest or find another guild.

So is DEM over? With renewal coming to Ymir server in one week (October 14th), I would like to make one last effort to revive our guild. Now is the time for everyone who has quit to scrape together a few dollars and pay your accounts for a month. Just come back for a month and try out renewal, that's all I ask. All the 99/70s will be needing parties again, there will be new builds and skills to try out, and we'll be partying in places we never thought we'd go to again. Even if you don't have a 99/70, the new experience curve will make it much faster to get 99 and trans (although after 120 or 130 it becomes a challenge again).

We'll begin WoEing again as a guild on Saturday, October 16th. Along with the new classes, WoE mechanics change with renewal and should make things more interesting. For one thing, emperiums will have plant defense (can only do 1 damage to them) and cannot be healed. Status immunities have been changed. Most 3rd classes have very high HP and in theory one hitting will be more rare (with the exception of a certain few overpowered skills).

I hope to see some people at least come back and give it a try for a few weeks. DEM hangs out in Payon now, on two tables just north of the southern kafra (between the pet vendor and the giant crate of oranges). Feel free to pm me or Kenny if you can't find anyone in town (character names in sig). You can also pm me on the forums if you'd like access to our vent server.

For the current members, do you still have the emails or MSNs of some of our wayward members? Please send them this message and tell them that we miss them and want to see them again!

It's in a bit of a slowdown since the merger, but that's because everyone's got their 99/70s and have been waiting for Renewal. This Thursday once Renewal hits Ymir, things should hopefully pick up since it'll be a whole new ballgame. But you know you have a spot waiting for you once you get logged on, so just hit up me or Khel and we'll get you back into the swing of things.

I'm looking for a guild but I'm a bit of a crappy character right now. I can't remember my old login info on my old server so I started a fresh on Ymir about 4 or 5 days ago. I'm level 81 and a dancer, trying to level quickly for rebirth. XD Is that ok? :<
