RT: % atk weapon enchant not working correctly?

I have this +5 halberd with atk +10% and it isnt increased damage from a different halberd without +atk% at all.

 

Was wondering if it it currently bugged and if it will be fixed?

 

Sorry if this is answered somewhere already i tried searching the forums, google and couldnt find an answer thanks for the help.

It's hard to test 10% atk in the current landscape where weapon/equip/buff attack is in relatively low supply and damage variance can engulf it. 

 

You'll want to reduce variance to test it out, perhaps through crit attacks since those naturally max out variance or via a blacksmith's skill 'power maximize'; (though this latter one won't apply to spear weapons).

I guess i should note that the item in question is also increasing Matk however The enchant on the weapon Clearly states Atk + 10% i have a no attack up halberd that is giving me the same window attack and it hitting for generally the same damage.

 

a 10% buff i feel should be pretty noticable

 

I will try to Critically strike with each to see if there is a difference however i am a SVD knight without any luck lol.

Matk is increased by item upgrades, the same way Atk is.

 

Bonuses that give a % to atk won't show up in the status window. They should still work fine though. If you can show a damage difference on crits, that's a pretty good indication they aren't working properly.

atk% does not apply to status atk, wich in the current landscape is a considerable portion or even most of the characters atk.

Critical damage, ranged damage, skill damage % apply to all portions of your atk.

Race,size,element,type,atk,etc % modifiers don't affect status atk and mastery atk.


Characters in the RT setting currently don't achieve very high numbers of atk, so a good portion of your damage is coming from your status atk, wich those modifiers have no effect on.

ATK% is pretty useless compared to flat ATK, just a heads up if you're buying enchanted weapons.

edit: worth noting whether bonus A is better than bonus B often depends on what the server situation is like (availability of gear, cards, buffs, items, etc.)

Assuming you have at least 50 total str, it's still something like a ~30 atk bonus on top of things.

I was going to post this very same thing. If your character has 100 ATK and you have +10%, that means you will have 110 ATK. If you use the +ATK mod at +50 ATK you will have 150 ATK. ATK +10% and ATK +50 will only become equal once you have 500 ATK. So yes +10% ATK is virtually worthless.

 

To add on to what I said earlier, unless you have a skill that directly gains bonus from stats, you will almost always want to go with the raw +ATK option on your weapon. Depending on what you are trying to do, the best options are +ATK, +Crit, and +ASPD.

not all of the atk is shown on the stat window btw.

It remains true that for now flat atk is mostly superior, but you don't need a very big leap in atk for the % to equal it
