I am using Ankle Snare in Nightmare Clock tower. On some parts of the map, I could put Ankle Snare. The skill completed but I don't the Ankle Snare trap being place.  I tried again and its like no trap ever place on that same spot. Monster can walk pass thru without being snared. Also, Cluster Bomb wont work vs. flying monsters in this map.

You probably placed the anklesnares on dead cells (this was mentioned in the wiki pages).

For the clusterbomb issue, define "flying" :heh:
The only case I can think of where clusterbomb won't land a hit is if the monster is ghost element.
Aside from that, I'm pretty sure clusterbomb can hit every "flying" monster in the nct big bells map because I've already blown up Cursed Books, Owls, and even Time Holder with it before.

Are they gonna fix dead cells?

 

 

For the clusterbomb issue, define "flying" :heh:
 

It doesn't trigger versus Neo Punk and Cursed Book. They just walked (if not flew over) pass thru my cluster bomb.

Cluster Bomb can only be trigger if they step at the exact same 1 singe cell where the trap is placed, it won't even trigger if even there's like 1 cell distance from Cluster Bomb and the mobs, so I always use Detonator skill instead (because I'm bad at aiming at that 1 exact cell :heh: ). In short, the trigger range is 1x1 only, while the explosion itself is 7x7.

oh my!  I thought the detection range is the same as the damage effective range. About the dead cells in Nightmare Clock Tower, will they fix it?

Forget the ranger trap and go for a trap ranger.  :hinthint:

I don't think there's much they can do about dead cells because those are widely-present in all maps actually (Like map walls for example; you can recreate the same result by casting anklesnare on walls). So it's not really a "bug".
In terms of level design though, Nightmare Clock Tower is just really weird and wonky to be honest :heh:

And yeah, that thing Jenee said about ranges is correct, Clusterbomb doesn't work the same way other traps do in that it has only 1x1 detection/activation range. So I would recommend using Detonator together with it

Here's a visual presentation so the range is easier to see:

(took me a long time trying to get the grid aligned in photoshop lol)

other things to keep in mind:
Clusterbomb needs 3x3 empty space for placement.
Detonator activates traps in a 5x5 area around a targetted point.

I am more concern on floor cells that you can't put traps even if its not block and you can walk on it. You can walk on it but can not put trap on it. System doesn't show any error, it just do nothing after you lay ankle snare or any traps.
