Hello again,

 

So, I just got a pair of Enforcer Shoes and wanted to test the damage with my current gear, so I decided to try OGH.

 

My gear:

 

Uncarded +8 Seigfried's Helm

Imperial Feather Set

+9 Abyss dress

+12 FQL (2xAK)

+15 Crimson Dagger Neutral (2xAK)

+9 FAW Petal Fatal10

+8 Enforcer Shoes

Ring of Jupiter

PDM (GSC)

 

Aside from Atk buffs I used an Elemental Converter (Fire).

 

With this setup, from my understanding, I should be doing more damage on Amdarais than Corrupted Soul, right? Amdarais is Undead Undead and Corrupted Soul is Demon Earth, so both should be weak to Fire element (200% multiplier) , and the effect of Abyss Dress would be "halved" on Corrupted Soul, and full on when fighting Amdarais. Also, both are Large monsters so the penalty size should be affecting both the same. And both are boss monsters so the AK effect should also be the same for both.

 

The thing is that to Corrupted Soul I did around 1.8m and to Amdarais I did only 440k, that's a lot less. (both are without Dark Claw)

 

Any clues at what I'm missing here? Why I am hitting Amdarais for less than Corrupted Soul?

Brother, I have same problems like you, last night I do far less damage on Amdarasi than Corrupted Soul, don’t why

however did you try 4xAK of hand compare to your +15crimson 2xAK off hand? I kinda feel +15crimson is better

maybe bugged, lost the boss/size/race tag.
defense should not be a problem, since shoes bypassed them

but here's some missable, just in case:
your endow fire/holy is alive?
your weap not broken?
your equip not switched?
you have all the same exact buff alive?

or maybe, invisible debuff from amda that we don't know yet?

I think no, I deal more damage to Amda H than to Root H with (same setup), it is as intended

Yes, I double checked the replay and everything was ok (no weapon broken, same buffs active...)

 

The thing about race and boss (maybe element too?) tags being bugged out makes sense, since between the 4xAK and abyss dress it makes for around 4x atk, and that's close to the difference between the damage I'm making to the two bosses.

 

I just did Bijou (same element/race/boss/size as Amdarais) and I did around 6.5m, that's 2.6m without Dark Claw. That's the damage I should be doing to Amdarais.

 

I will check tomorrow without the abyss dress and see the difference with that setup.

A friend told me the same thing. So i went into check ..

 

DC him and got 11m damage for MA. So, it didn't happen to me. (I was using 2x AK JDR wih fire endow though). Didn't try racial or size cards. So don't think its MA or DC thats bug. Probably some other modifiers.

 

So its probably something happening sometimes, not always?

It's been reported multiple times, and likely there's an on-map effect going on because some runs it happens and some runs it doesn't, with identical gear/char/class/setup.

 

It's possible this NOGH update brought some new things to regular OGH as well.

same thing happen to me too. at ogh damage is lower than what it should be on these two bosses. its like the put a buff 75% damage reduction then after a while my damage become normal. sometimes it happen sometimes it dont.

Don't play Chaos anymore, so forgive me if this idea is stupid, but is it possible he's Element-switching on you?

 

If it is something happening unreliably that's changing damage to that degree, that's the first thing that comes to mind. With the numbers from the OP, it looks like he could be switching to Holy/Shadow/Water

Hard amdarais isn't bugged. We're talking about the standard one in OGH here.

The NPCs who spawn give you buffs in nightmare mode, one of which is double damage which applies at the end of damage so it works with things like DB as well.

I remember NPC buff, make you immune to meteor. I got 1 dmg after got buff.

There's multiple buffs; some are protective and some are offensive. 

 

Either way, that's a map based buff that doubles your damage temporarily.
