3rd classes will kill RO:T, that's fact but as its current state, it will have the same fate eventually.
People who play this server mostly do it for PvP, hates renewal and I'm almost 100% sure that they don't like P2W cash shop gears.
RO:T was always renewal on its core with some RO:Zero features, they could keep adding more of this features but to be honest, I think it would not be reliable or easy to maintain. IRO suffers from big technical challenge, it has custom features combined with official features, this as a developer point of view it's a headache and a nightmare. Basically the studio has to develop a custom patch that's compatible with IRO features. The more you think of this, the more you understand the big delay of bug fixes and content on the servers, this delay is of course related in terms of profit and costs that IRO has as well.
IRO Chaos is more profitable because of cash shop boxes and potential new renewal content. And as controversial as it sounds, Chaos has more player base, let's not forget that RO:T it's plagued with BOTs, which they migrated from Chaos.
Having this things in mind, how does RO:T going to survive? RO:T can have infinite amount of times of population in WoE in comparison with Chaos but WoE is just a couple of hours a week. Unless you get more RO:Zero content, RO:T will be always obsolete in terms of PVM.
This is why the studio sees the 3rd job implementation as a really good choice since RO:T does not really have a lot of options in terms of progress.
Like Sigma said in his previous post, even RO:Zero it's on its own decline and RO:Zero was supposed to be the pinnacle or the 'best' way on how RO:T should follow its development.
If RO:T implements third classes it will become IRO:Thor version 2, a renewal server with low population and with peaks on WoE hours.
