WP Killing Off What Little Customer Base They Have Left

I have been in conversation with the GMs with 2 tickets because they did not respond for 2 days in the first ticket and they automatically closed it.

During our interaction, these are the main points that were brought up:

 

1. My Yahoo account is not receiving the recovery password from WP. Their resolution is for me to create a new email that I can replace my existing “active” email used on my WP account. I still have full access to my yahoo account, the only problem is that I am not receiving the e-mail. How convenient for them to just say, “create a new e-mail for the game.”

2. I was advised to send them my personal information with my ID via fax. I explained that I did not put my real info on the account, therefore it wont confirm anything.

3. I also explained that I do not have access to fax, and yet they insisted to have it sent via fax.

4. This WP account contains 3 of my game accounts which I spent a lot of time and money on. It seems like just because it is not their own money or time, they don’t care if I can no longer access them.

5. There should be an alternate verification method that will allow people to access their accounts without having to use a lot of their personal information - doesn’t this go against privacy rules as well? I don’t even give google this much information for account recovery. The GM should offer alternative verification methods such as basing it on long term play location.


 

these issues wouldn’t arise if people weren’t forced out of their accounts and not provided an opt-out option for the password change.

With this game still thriving because of players that have been here the longest, they could have at least given enough respect or consideration regarding these matters. But it seems like the studio is slowly killing off their players and not wanting them to play

Wonder if WP will ever bother to implement security questions into our WP accounts and have a built in change email option that requires them to be answered correctly to be accomplished. Makes a lot more sense than requiring people to send in their id's. Sounds like your case is another case of GM's not reading the tickets they are responding to correctly though, happens too often.

my yahoo had address filter, so i unblocked wp and it worked for me

mail -> settings -> more settings -> security and privacy -> blocked addresses (remove warpportal on this list to allow access to new mail from them)

will not work on inactive yahoo accounts though

no filter, no inbox, no spam, nothing.
its weird cuz i can create new support account under this email just fine

hi CM mayari, i appreciate the help. i bring it up the issues because pretty sure it just not me who experience this.
if its not working for such big email like yahoo. what about other email provider?

 

and yes, please provide other method to verify our identity. if you guys can track down duped item/bot by their IP. you can track id to its rightful owner

i only login with 1 device most of the time and same wifi all this time.

It seems to be only a issue that yahoo emails have been running across, as I haven't had anyone message me about the other email providers. But yes, I'm talking to the GM team about this now, thank you!

Please i have the same problem, i send a fax but it seems isnt the real information of the account because is an alternative account i create but i really use it and i have a lot of things in the account i really need a help T-T

I really feel sad about this update, just like the thread said, WP literally one-sidedly purging most (if not) active old players while iRO don't even have as many players as it was back then. Like many cases, my own account are using old emails which already inactive, I have many accounts and I never bothered to follow in-game events or come to the forum to know what is going on. All I know that by 5th January I suddenly cannot log in to my accounts and finally found out about this stupid password change campaign.

 

most my guild mates are suffering because of these too, and yes we tried to appeal to the support team. But they ask ridiculous questions and require you to fax some documents which literally exposing yourself more than Google can expose you.

 

We bought OCP items through Kafra Points with the use of real MONEY , and use our TIME to grind levels and equipments.

 

All I can say to WP is thank for WASTING our efforts, and thank you for the memories. 

 

anyway this is just my ramblings, im pretty sure they will ignore this as they already made up their mind to purge us.

The support team asked me to send a fax and well i do it ( in my doccument they only can see my photo and my full name because they said they need see those requirements ). Its OBVIOUSLY that the information of my alt account isnt the same of my real information but well im trying and im fighting for my account because i have a lot gears and items in the account and i really dont remember the e-mail, only the ID and password of the account :/.

 

I Think they should reverse the password to the normal password or give to us the new password because they change our passwords. Anyways, i have hope about this and well, wish me luck bro because i send the fax and im waiting for a answer :'''(.

Isn't this basically their second death warrant? Any hope of old vets returning has basically been wiped out with the campaign.

Old vets can always come back as long as they remember their personal information. If they used fake information to fool WP in the first place, that's unfortunate.

reversing the password for a given period of time might be helpful to those who missed the chance to change their password.

 

on the other hand, GMs surely could do better to inform more players about the password change event than what they did to avoid this situation happening.

 

a pop-up notification like the daily reward will surely reach more players than social media, WP forum, etc.

Old people aren’t coming back. They are on the new BR server with 10k players.

It is truely regrettable that we are losing players, but life will go on, and we all know all the moolah we invest into this game would eventually just be all gone one day, just for some people its gone sooner than expected.

I hope things go well for you all trying to get your accounts. But of course people will say im a biggot and that because I have over 3k posts I am not a human being that will understand, and that I deserve to burn in hell.

I’ll be honest, the reasons I came back here instead of going to a pserver or the mobile games are because I want to stick to the game that’s faithful to kRO and jRO with little to no customized content, and the mobile games are boring as hell.

I had no intention of recovering my old account despite having god item ingredients as well as some valuable gears in it.

But I’d be royally pissed as hell too if I find my old accounts inaccessible and I have to send very sensitive information that an entity that isn’t a bank or a government agency has no business knowing just to get it back.

Not bad, still less than TwRO and ThRO. So RoT is dead and the BR heroes left iRO RoT back to their local server after justic'ing the evil guild? GG WP Ez xD

Most people dont really invest moolah but rather time to exploit the game ie ET dusts, alts, etc. Wish more people would invest money tho so we would get tons of updates like other official servers.

 

And yes, if anyone thinks their investment is forever eternal, that guy needs a reality check. Even when he dies, he cant even take his body with him hahaha. And yes, you have 3.7k posts, you're a biggot for sure.

they do roll backs in game all the time. just roll all this BS password reset stuff back and let us play the game lol. 

 

Why when the game population is this low does the game suddenly care if people are playing accounts that were not created by them? You did not care that I played my Sura and Genetic for 10 years when the accounts were not created by me. You took my money off my debit card with my name on the debit card. The name on the debit card does not match the name on the account but you sure did take my money. You didn't care when I spent thousands over 10 years buying lucky boxes and groovy packs. You didn't care when I upgraded all my gear with enriched hammer and might hammer lol. 

 

This was a bad decision. You didn't think people played accounts donated to them when people quit? I have been in full guilds of people that have quit. Guilds have accounts designed just for people to share. Someone needs a healer, strings, a tank, just log in and use it. 

 

I can make myself a max Sura and Genetic easy. It will be hard to recoup the stuff I lost from this but I could start over. Why would I though with the way you treat the people that play the game? I hate being like this. I have played this game for so long. So many friends have quit. They laugh at me when I say I still have fun keeping up with it. Its just really sad to me.

UPDATE

i got my account back without having to send faxes.

i still have full access to my yahoo mail, just the reset email never arrive. we've been talk back and forth for a week on ticket to finally able to confince them that its my account.

 

 

just take a look to my said account info :

nothing really reflect my irl info, so sending faxes wont be able to confirm anything.

 

i really hope we got another way to confirm identity of the account owner, you guys can track bot/shady deals so tracking account to its rightful owner should doable too.
