I notice that Old Parasol is often compounded with Pitman Card, Hill Wind Card and Red Ferus Card for their set bonuses with Lunar Rainbow. The odd card out is always Laurell Weinder Card. Is there a reason for this?

 

Extra question. When it comes to magic attacks, which elements are the most useful because they are effective against most monsters? And does this play into the preference for cards in Old Parasol's combo with Lunar Rainbow?

 

My thoughts. I think Laurell Weinder Card is pretty decent cause it's Water. Don't understand why it's left out. Hill Wind Card and Red Ferus Card are reasonably definite inclusions cause they're Wind and Fire respectively. Pitman Card I think is not mainstream because it's Earth. Not many monsters suffer adversely from Earth. Are my deductions correct? Correct me if I'm wrong.

LW decent vs fire mobs/undead, i think mostly frost delayed autocasting, slower to kill. For pitman, try combo w/ sage shadow shoes for more hd damage.

because heaven's drive, thunder storm and meteor storm are stronger skills than frost nova. The frozen effect hardly matters.

You'd swap a laurel in if the target has an immunity to one of the other 3 elements(mainly fire), if you can afford to have a second weapon/decard it.
