So after working my ass off the last week, I got to Gypsy and am bitterly disappointed in AV.
The cast time is terrible, I had to go hunt a phen just so it would not get interrupted.
I used it a few times then decided it was way faster to continue spamming DS.

So, is that all there is?
Will I be spamming DS until I get to 3rd job.
If 3rd job even gets any decent attack skills.
Or is it just DS for life?
I'm feeling like I should just abandon ship and make a sniper.

But I remember gypsy being a really fun class when I played it years ago

That becomes their primary attack skill?

Everybody hates AV. Maybe its cause i dont have previous experience with it before renewal but i dont think its completely unusable. I use it in between Severe rainstorm cooldown and 99ed my minstrel at stapos/magmarings with it. With a good weapon (double kingbird Oriental Lute/Queens Whip) and a high enough upgrade or ATK gear u can 1 shot still. I hear alot of people 99ing using arrow shower tho, ive never tried it but i do use AS while i SR mobs if i dont switch to instrument/shield. I never, ever use DS. Havent since i got AV as minstrel. SR is really powerful but you have to be sure u can survive the mob cause it takes like 3 seconds to finish and it hitlags YOU (more than the mob... sad). Damage is dex/agi/job level based or somethin like that. I have 1 agi and do 2K-3K+ per hit with SR depending on the mob using a +7 Kingbird Elven Bow.
