if u see patcher2, change it to patcher.exe

i dont why, but i try to patch from the gateway then the error show up. After that i went to my folder and saw "patcher2". Then i took out the "2" and put ".exe" at the end of patcher. it work for me and i'm in game right now

yup first time i get error from gateway, and i dunno where is the patch2 that u saying , it dont exist in my carpet :S ty hastur =.=

I went to my folder and just ran patch2 and it worked

This error may occur for some users due to previous patching errors.
Solution: Open game folder (ex. C:\Program Files\Gravity\Dragon Saga), delete the file Patcher.exe, Rename Patcher2.exe to Patcher.exe. Run Dragon Saga from Gateway again and it will start patching.

i found the dragon saga folder and i do not see the "Patch" file name.

for ones that have this carpet the patcherpatch is the 2nd patch so u have to delete the Patcher and make patcherpatch to Patcher.exe

IMO, the removal of the requirement on Gateway is a major piece of good news. Sure, it was easy to get around, but it means Gravity has reversed their position on this issue. Before forum threads about bypassing gateway were removed. Now it's officially not needed. Quite a 180 degree turn.

I guess they realized that the combination of DS errors AND Gateway errors was driving off new players. Good on them, but we old players would like some new stuff, and our randomizers back Y_Y

To people with patching errors [Korean writing/ ????? ????]:

1. go to your Dragon saga folder
2. Double click "Patcher 2"
3. While Dragon Saga is patching delete "Patcher.exe"
4. Rename Patcher 2 "Patcher"
5. Wait for the patch to end and log in

Edit: I saw Hastur already said this after I posted; still putting it in steps should help some people I suppose.
