So, the last time I posted on the forums was back in February of 2020 in the February 3 patch notes. I had an issue with the character size error/missing character problem. However, as an "essential employee," I no longer could play RO due to working 60 hours per week.
Fastforward 1 year. I just came back this week, and I'm FINALLY able to log back in. So I started searching the forums and other sites to see what's changed. I find out that in the same patch notes just a few pages later, that homunculi have been crippled to near useless status.
No, not useless. Cumbersome. Worse than useless.
This saddens me because I used to use my homun in ET in multiple rolls. I'd use it to bait mobs, be a secondary tank to MVPs behind my wife, etc. I could easily attack something and know it would help out. Now, if we're both in a situation where we both get mobbed, it would sit there and enjoy it's spanking while I chug pots and try to live. I understand the motive behind the change, but... isn't that why we have alternate maps? To ease congestion?
I also read somewhere that there's another update making them time-limit skills. Has that been implemented yet? I wouldn't mind doing that, but it looks like it could be costly.
Either way, I personally prefer the old way. Let the A-_- have OD2. It's too much of a deal breaker for homuns to be this broken.
