for hindsight, would be full int, rest agi/luk maxing bolt skills and getting hindsight with link, without links its kinda lame
for pure battle, dunno why to chose that, but would be str/agi i guess... but for that, make a battle priest =P.
PS: If you dont know (just in case) hindsight is the skill that makes you autocast bolts while attacking.

But I don't need str since I'm going to hit the monsters? What about my hp?
As you can see I don't know anything about sages, this will be my first
If you could point me which skills I need to rise it would be great

Is there any more skills worth raising?
As sage I will need Free Cast 10, Hindsight 10, Study 10 right? Any other skill is required?
Thank you very much for the answers so far ^^

ok, so I will max the bolts, what about the points left? SP recovery is useless right? Can I cast napalm beat with HS?

Ok here are some answers regarding anything you will need to know about a HindSight Sage build.
Stats: HS builds need High - Max Agility, High - Max Intelligence. Other than these 2 stats the only other you MAY want to get is Luk, more flee, MAtk, PDodge. Dex is not really useful much anymore for this build imho.
HindSight : is a skill that auto casts various mage skills by chance on Attacking, NOT hitting. This is Important to keep in mind. You don't have to hit the guy to trigger the bolts u just have to be swinging away. Which is why Agility is of much more importance then Dexterity. Higher Agi = Higher Atk speed = More Bolts going off = More Damage. At lvl 10 HS will only drop lvl 1-3 bolts even if you have learned them to lvl 10. This is why you need to be buffed with the Soul Linker Sage Spirit. This makes it always drop lvl 10 Bolts as long as you have learned it that high. Level 10 HS drops bolts 25% of the time, in other words 1 in 4 swings.
Skills. Here is a Link to a skill simulator outlining the most needed skills for a HS Build. Now I have left off anything really but things that go directly to HS. You still have 19 points for Mage skills and 19 for Sage skills left.
Equipment: The best weapon for a HS Sage is I believe Principles of Mage [2]. This book is awesome with +160 MAtk and gets really great if you can get the set bonus's going. Ancient Magic [2] is an acceptable alternative and even works with the same other set items.
Keep in mind that Sages have the best atk speed barehanded > Dagger > Books. With Study at lvl 10 though Daggers and Books have the same attack speed. The only Dagger that is any good for a HS build though is Bazerald because it boosts MAtk.
Oh yeah in answer to your question about SP recovery. This skill is actually useful as it will lower the amount of time you need to sit to regenerate your sp pool. However only get this is you are able to get a soul linker to use Kaahi on you. The best thing todo is to marry a Soul Linker on an alternate account. Otherwise the Soul Linker needs a Soul Linker Buff from another to be able to use it on you.

thanks a lot evilloynis, I only didn't understand why you left free cast only at 4
As an HS sage, you won't actually be casting skills, just swinging away to trigger the HS autocast. Because of that, you only need level 4 free cast as a prereq for HS.
Thanks for answering this as yes it is exactly the reason. You see HS triggered bolts are instant-not interrupt-able casts so they don't need you to be able to move and atk while the cast is building like normal. This is also the reason you don't really need any Dex in this build.

If I were making a hindsight sage now, I would ballance stats out well (highest on int, enough to flee on agi, moderate dex, the rest in str and luck). Physical attack is now very decent even with moderate str, and you are your own endower. You'll need decent dex for casting and making sure the physical attacks actually hit. Int all depends on whether you you have a link.
