Step 35 is bugged She doesn't react when you type "Wake up, Elly!" no matter how many times you try.

Please fix it ASAP!!!

Definitely something buggy in Elly's dormitory room.   I also encountered the same bug weeks ago and filed a bug report at the Support site.

 

Now, for characters that had done this quest many years ago, they are able to enter Elly's room by climbing up that drainpipe.  For those characters that completed the quest years ago, this shouldn't be possible unless whatever flag has changed or the code block for climbing the drainpipe to enter Elly's dorm room has changed.  I brought out my priest who had done this quest and was able to climb up the drainpipe to enter Elly's dorm room.  This shouldn't be possible.  I then clicked on the cookies on the table.  I got the same text requester box you'd get if trying to talk to Elly.  Okay, so I typed Wake Up Elly to the cookies.  I was immediately kicked from the dorm room without explanation text and was no longer able to climb the drainpipe.  The logic path code for Elly's dorm room is messed up.  But at least the flag or stage completed counter had advanced me beyond the dorm room.   So, there seems to be a difference between chars from 2009 and now in whatever flag or stage counter is being used.  At least my old 2009 char was updated to whatever is being used now for this quest.

I have the same issue. I want to get in robot factory but i can't because this step is bugged! Please fix or provide necessary items to progress.

I have the same error, Elly does not react to the text Wake up, Elly!

 

I've tried various combinations: uppercase, lowercase, no exclamation mark, even changing the text a bit, but nothing works.

I have the same problem with the step 35 of the Kiel Hyre Quest guide from the iRO wiki. When you enter the room, click the cookies, read the letter and talk to Elly to prompt "Wake up, Elly", the NPC don't give the quest items that you need for the next step.

 

I try to make the quest with two characters, with my gene first and then when bug appears i said "may be the quest is changed and i need to write something else" so i started the quest with my AB to check if i was missing something or was the quest bugged, and it failed again in the same step. The quest is bugged.

 

If someone knows how to do it right, just tell us please. Thank you.

Okay so stupid suggestion...but did you guys try typing WITH the quotes?

Yes. Also changing the text "Wake up, Elly!" with and without symbols (like "Wake up Elly", "wake up elly", "WAKE UP ELLY" "wAKE uP eLLY"). Nothing works.

I try everything, including in other languages.

I've started the Heart Fragment Quest which requires to input those long passwords. After numerous tries, it keeps failing.

 

So I'm thinking maybe it's not just the Kiel Hyre quest that is bugged...but anything that requires text input is bugged?

 

Nope it was able to go through after some attempts, so maybe it's just the Kiel Hyre quest.

 

I'll send in a ticket and share this thread.
