Looking at the damage formula of both, I thought Comet would sort of have double the damage vs Gravitational Field.

I removed the all the gears and just use a survivor rod and bunny shield, Comet seems to have just slightly better damage.

lol silly me, for some reason I just assume GF hits for 5 hits when it is 10!!

Just get a comet spellbook and you can release comet every 3 seconds. Better than the 5 second cd of GF. Comet also has more potential in damage output with exclusive gears that boost it and even one that can remove its cooldown, something GF doesnt have yet.

3 seconds? Release has a cooldown of ~1s.

 

That being said, to TC - In terms of what advantages Comet has - Huge AOE, +20% damage over GF, +50% damage bonus to all incoming damage for all players after a successful hit.

 

GF has a 5000% in a 5x5. It's nice, but ignoring what Comet brings to the table makes no sense.

Thanks all for the replies, even though it is just a silly mistake on my part. Somehow I think I got mixed up with the 5 hit of Frost Misty or maybe Napalm Vulcan.

Comet sure is worth it even if it's only level 1. Actually it's not that I use GF all that much too, mostly only for the final damage to kill off something. Just that at certain point when I looked at the damage of both I thought I got something wrong, which I actually did lol

- Release is used, 1 sec cooldown

- Comet comes out, cast delay of 1.5 sec, release's cooldown finishes before comet's delay finishes

- Use spellbook, just a bit over 1 sec casting

- Release again, repeat

Roughly 3 seconds give or take.

It can be reduced further with certain gears, but 3 seconds per comet release is possible for any WL with any gear
